Cell Phone Question

A friend sends emails from his GMail account from cell. Lately, his messages are coming from 516-XXX-XxXX@mypixmessages.com, which I have to click to open. Says he's not doing anything differently. Any idea why this is happening?

No clues?

Did he change wireless companies?

mypixmessages.com appear to be for Straight Talk.

You can use an Iphone with Straight Talk. Did the friend change cell providers?
