Can we start a GoFundMe for her? A brilliant historian, let's help her!
Doris Kearns Goodwin needs a new wig!

You're terrible, Muriel.
Poor lady. I like her.

I thought she looked much better than usual when she was on whatever show she was on yesterday (Thurs). I assumed facelift and new wig, though I wasn't watching very closely.

LOL I literally said something about that the other day to my partner. And I am usually blind to those thing. I dont pay attention to woman's close or hair styles, so if I noticed it, really off the charts obvious.

It’s really really bad. But t, she seems like a nice old lady. Wonder if she has cancer?
Surely, she can afford a high quality wig

I hadn’t seen her in a while, but that wig caught me off guard. It looks like she bought it from Joni Ernst’s House of Rugs.

It needs to be thinned. The style and color are ok, but it's too thick.
Or, a new one with less texture to it.
Problem solved.

Gays, make me Doris Kearns Goodwig!
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 9, 2021 12:59 AM |
It just looks like it's not sitting on her head but hovering over it.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 9, 2021 12:59 AM |
I find that when she's on, all I do is stare at her wig.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 9, 2021 1:04 AM |
As soon as she appeared on screen, I knew some of you bitches would jump right on the case!

Is that gargoyle-like husband of hers still alive. She's a mediocre historian, at best. Her LBJ book was a work of sucking up.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 9, 2021 1:56 AM |
OP I just saw this and was coming here to say the same! I'm glad I am not alone.
I mean, it was TRULY obvious and bad.

[quote] I dont pay attention to woman's close or hair styles,
Or, evidently, grammar or spelling.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 10, 2021 3:43 PM |
Gosh, I came to the same conclusion watching her on CBS Sunday Morning!
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 10, 2021 4:00 PM |
Wasn't she LBJ's side piece?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 10, 2021 4:00 PM |
R18 if yes, she needs to share pics of his foot long dong

For some reason, after decades of being rather homely, it was only recently she got the bad wig and fillers.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 10, 2021 5:30 PM |
Hate me if you want, but she's a terrible historian. She relies on previously published works instead of finding new sources or even double-checking existing sources. She also builds on a subject's mythology instead of looking for the basis of the mythology.

Plagiarism Row Topples Pulitzer Judge
The US historian Doris Goodwin admits to borrowing passages from other authors, but critics reject her claim that it was all an accident
Doris Kearns Goodwin, one of America's best-known popular historians, stepped down as a Pulitzer prize judge yesterday in the face of mounting allegations that she had lifted many passages in her acclaimed work from other writers' books.
Goodwin, a bestselling historian of the American presidency who won the Pulitzer herself in 1995 for a book about the Roosevelts, explained in a letter to the prize-giving board that "because I am so distracted by the media focus on my work, I do not feel capable of giving the considerable time needed to make the proper judgments".

I think (but don't know for sure) she has or had cancer, R20

I gasped when I saw that wig this morning -- and then I changed the channel.
That's certainly something that I don't need to have enter my beautiful mind.

She honestly looks like she had a head transplant; she used to be on Meet the Press all the time & she looked like a historian, someone who could constantly conjure up random info about Teddy Roosevelt. Not unattractive, but a bit on the dowdy side. I was her Master's Class advertisements on social media & at first I had no idea who that was she'd changed that much.

R25, It's obviously not from my wig line, dahhling.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 10, 2021 7:19 PM |
It just makes me worry that she has no one with her to advise her. This is not good.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 10, 2021 8:44 PM |
She looks bizarre. Bless her.
