Their stock is really low, they are out of a lot of things.
Amazon Prime Pantry, is it going away?

Hopefully. I haven't used Prime Pantry and Fresh a lot. I keep getting confused where to order what. I'd probably order groceries from AMZ more often if they merged Pantry and Fresh.

I was right, I just read they discontinued it this week

It was pretty much useless. They never had much of a selection. Unfortunately Amazon Fresh delivery is not available in my area, but there is one of those new Amazon Fresh grocery stores about half an hour away and they have curbside pickup.

Next: Merge AMZ Fresh and Whole Foods online orders. That distinction doesn't make much sense to me either.

I noticed they started offering "more ways to buy" a grocery item with the Prime Pantry price on top and the regular Prime price just below it.
It doesn't make sense to have weird rules (a full box, a $7 fee) anymore, now that everyone has figured out same-day grocery delivery. It didn't really make sense it pre-pandemic times, but it really doesn't now.

Pantry was always pretty useless when I tried to order. They never seemed to have anything decent in stock and I think they were getting seconds and overages like Big Lots or the like would get and trying to brand them as "hey, stock up here!"

They never had anything, otherwise I would have used it more. You'd search for something that should have been a no-brainer like canned vegetables, and nothing would come up.

No, OP. Not unlike your virginity, Amazon Prime is here to STAY.

I never really understood Prime Pantry. If I want one thing, I'm not going to fill up a whole bag of items for it.

r9 Well, you kind of have to do with with a lot of the store pickup services (Walmart, Whole Foods, Amazon Fresh, Albertsons/Safeway, etc. ) and most delivery services. They usually have a minimum like $35. Target is one of the few that doesn't.

Where's the hook for r8 when I need one?

You could use an EBT card on it, you can't do that on other delivery services.
