Through him she grew into a woman, a mother, a businesswoman, a Vogue covergirl, and a social justice advocate. Through her, he became a parent, a mega successful shoe designer, failed fashion designer, E! celeb and failed presidential candidate. He had multiple major "episodes." He hadn't bee seen to have such episodes before they were married, did he? Oh -- he also designed a $4 million golden toilet temple for a gaudy ridiculous televised wedding for E! He may be "over it" these days. But he was all about the Kardashian family and lifestyle in the beginning. Singing Kris's praises, going on Kris's fucking talk show, the whole embarrassing bit.

I don't the the Kardashians keep him ill. I don't think they deter him from seeking therapy or treatment. I think they encourage it. And he rejects it. For many reasons. Control being one. But also -- I don't think he is ready to face the depths of his grief at losing his mom Donda. And the guilt that his actions of finding an unscrupulous doctor to do her plastic surgery led to her death. And it probably breaks his heart every day that his four children will never know their black grandmother. So like Prince before him did (after the shock horror of the death of his deformed infant son), the guilt and shame Kanye feels about the past, is now being funneled into religiosity. And everything that came before his "awakening and turning to Christ" is to be rejected. And guess what, that includes not only some of the best music he ever made, but also, the porn star wife, celebrity life, and her grifter family. Its irreconcilable differences.

One or more of their children are most definently going to inherit bipolar, and it heartbreaking and brutal. I dated my ex- husband for a little over a year and their were no signs of the hell to come. Bipolar was not even a word then. Many doctors told me that the bipolar gene is passed from fathers. My daughter has it. They go through hell. Morbid depression, bipolar rage that results in guilt, humiliation, low self esteem, suicide. For a parent it has been the most heartbreaking thing , still is, to watch my baby bravely struggle to maintain life. She is alone, and very sadly will probably remain so. I am the only family she has left, and my time is very limited. The most painful thing is worrying that no one will love or care for her. It is difficult to handle, but people are so fucking cruel. These people need love and understanding. They get ridicule and rejection. My daughter takes her bipolar rage out on me . She has remorse later. She knows I will always love her. Her father committed suicide. He rigged 3 barrels of diesel fuel, lit the fuses and burnt his home to a crisp with him in it. He was 6ft6, and only 3 pounds of flesh was found, and the lid to washing machine. The fire took 17 hours to put out. Our daughter has been left with this horrifying image of her dad forever. Kim should have never had a child with him. That is so unfair to those children. We had no idea about bipolar when I married and had my child. He would not have been her father had I known. That was very selfish of her, imo.

I actually don't think it will be as dramatic and difficult as some people are projecting.

R205 Agreed that Kim rolled the dice with Kanye’s genetics—if he in fact has bipolar. But my working theory is that he got a traumatic brain injury in a car crash in 2002. There are anecdotes from friends and colleagues that his entire personality changed after the crash. And that before the crash, he was way more chill and even-keeled. In which case, the children are not going to inherit his TBI (but they could obviously still be impacted by his mood swings).
