I have not, nor has anyone I know.
Have Any of You Received A Stimulus Check Yet?
by Anonymous | reply 65 | February 3, 2021 6:54 PM |
Got mine yesterday (Friday). Last time it took 2 weeks. I was surprised. Went straight to Subway and treated myself to a $3 foot long.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 3, 2021 3:39 AM |
My brother who gets SSDI got his deposited today.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 3, 2021 3:46 AM |
NOPE
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 3, 2021 3:48 AM |
It is showing pending in my checking account as of today.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 3, 2021 3:50 AM |
Not anything yet
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 3, 2021 3:51 AM |
I saw a scan of it this morning, but the shitty postman has been delivering Saturday’s mail on Sunday lately.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 3, 2021 3:53 AM |
Just got it today. I'm off to buy enough booze and weed to last me during the lockdown Biden will inevitably order after his coronation.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 3, 2021 3:57 AM |
Got $600 yesterday.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 3, 2021 3:59 AM |
Showing as pending in my checking account. 600.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 3, 2021 4:04 AM |
I never got anything the first time around.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 3, 2021 4:04 AM |
R10 Why / How did you get nothing the first time around? I thought everyone was getting SOMETHING whether you filed for taxes or not. Is that the rub? Did you not file a tax form?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 3, 2021 4:06 AM |
^^^ I did every stupid thing and followed every g-d instruction I was given.
It's the Trump Administration. What do you expect?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 3, 2021 4:17 AM |
I got mine yesterday. It's a good thing, too. I had unexpectedly had to buy two new tires for my car this morning.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 3, 2021 4:20 AM |
R11, if you make over $75,000 per year you don't get either stimulus.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 3, 2021 4:23 AM |
Wrong, R14. If you make between $75,000 and $87,000 you will receive part of the $600. It's reduced by $5 for each $100 of income over the $75,000 amount. You could make $86,900 and still receive a check for $5.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 3, 2021 1:55 PM |
My bank info isn't on file with IRS because I never receive a tax refund. But that info is on file with Social Security because I receive that monthly payment by direct deposit. So why can't Soc Sec share my bank info with IRS, so that IRS could send my stimulus payment by direct deposit? Too complicated?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 3, 2021 2:16 PM |
I got mine a couple of days ago. I was surprised at how fast they got the checks out.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 3, 2021 3:41 PM |
Mine has shown as pending since early Friday morning. The first one I got a check so I was surprised I got it direct deposit this time. I did fill in my info at irs.gov the first time so that is probably why.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 3, 2021 4:21 PM |
I haven't received mine yet, but almost everyone I know has.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 3, 2021 4:25 PM |
Enjoy everyone!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 3, 2021 4:27 PM |
Who is paying for this??
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 3, 2021 4:31 PM |
They are not supposed to go out until January 4th. But you may get it sooner but make sure it doesn't say "pending" before you spend it.
If you don't get it by the 15th of January, you may have to wait until you file your taxes for 2020, because it, like the last stimulus is actually a tax credit against your return.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 3, 2021 4:35 PM |
Us R21. Why?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 3, 2021 4:38 PM |
Nope
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 3, 2021 4:59 PM |
The OP said checks.
That means checks. Checks come by mail and you sign them and then deposit them.
Direct deposits automatically appear in your bank accounts.
As usual, replies are vague, wrong, or confused. People are replying for checks when they are receiving direct deposits making this whole thread useless banter.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 3, 2021 5:06 PM |
Yep, I got my check. I've been stimulated already
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 3, 2021 5:25 PM |

R22, when you say "return", do you mean the form that you file with IRS to show how much tax you owe? In which case, when you say "a tax credit against your return", do you mean that the amount of tax you owe is reduced by the amount of stimulus payment you received? Or do you mean that the amount of tax you owe is increased by the amount of stimulus payment you received?

Perhaps if everyone used the same words to mean the same things . . . .
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 3, 2021 5:35 PM |
Yes! It was in my acct this morning.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 3, 2021 5:43 PM |
Some people aren't sure if it is based on net or gross, but I believe it's based of your net after deductions and not your gross salary. That's my story.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 3, 2021 5:45 PM |
"I had unexpectedly had to buy two new tires for my car this morning"
Psycho Grindr hookup?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 3, 2021 5:46 PM |
I thought the meaning was rather clear r27. I mean, really man. I get why some of you librarians get off kilter about how language is used. But you are just being a dick. And if you need to know what I mean by "dick", venture into your bathroom and look into that device above your sink with the magic images in it. You will be looking directly at one.
And YES, my check that should have been here yesterday made it here today.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 3, 2021 7:47 PM |
I got jack last time and will get squat this time
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 3, 2021 10:47 PM |
Nothing that exciting, R30. One of my front tires was almost flat. When I took it in to be fixed, I found out the tread on both front tires was in the danger zone. So I had them replaced.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 4, 2021 12:59 AM |
Got mine yesterday, even though it was a Saturday; direct deposit. I was stunned.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 4, 2021 2:01 AM |
Yes, I got mine yesterday morning, as did my husband.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 4, 2021 6:50 AM |
Received it yes.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 4, 2021 7:02 AM |
Pending deposit since late last week
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 4, 2021 8:55 AM |
Yes.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 4, 2021 9:32 AM |
Also received.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 4, 2021 9:46 AM |
Is anyone having issues with the payment info updater on the irs website? Mine tells me when my check will be mailed. My family member who got the 1st payment direct deposited fine in 2020 is getting a message saying not enough info or they are ineligible. They are a retiree with only Social Security income and are all upset and freaked out now.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 4, 2021 11:23 PM |
R40, is your relative checking the right website? I used the link below and got a page that asked for my SS #, birthdate, and mailing address -- then it immediately told me the date on which my 2020 payment was mailed and the date on which my 2021 payment will be mailed (Jan. 6).
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 5, 2021 12:25 AM |
I got mine today. It went right into my savings account. I plan to leave it there.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 5, 2021 12:36 AM |
I checked the link at R41 and it said my check will be mailed on January 6th. Why would they mail it when the first check was direct deposit? I didn’t move and I have been using the same banking account forever.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 5, 2021 2:17 AM |
[quote]Is anyone having issues with the payment info updater on the irs website?
They gave me the same answer, "sorry not enough info! Try later!"
Fortunately I'm working, but fuck these gimbuses for holding up payments to people who need it.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 5, 2021 2:26 AM |
Yup, deposited and funds available 1/1 at Zions National Bank, a profit making subsidiary of the Mormon Church. Agnostic here. It's a weirdly good bank.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 5, 2021 4:34 AM |
Nothing yet. I can wait till the end of the month since all of it will go towards the rent anyway!
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 5, 2021 4:37 AM |
i have not, i filed my taxes with H&R block last year and they are having some kind of issue. so i don't know when i will get it.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 5, 2021 4:38 AM |
Same here. I had HR Block deduct my tax fees from my refund last year. So the IRS has deposited my stimulus into a holding account. They'll either deposit my stimulus in a couple of days or send it back. The IRS will then mail the stimulus to me by check or debit card.

Got my direct deposit immediately, whatever day that was. The first day that anyone got them. Deposited in my checking and available immediately, none of that “pending” shit.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 5, 2021 4:44 AM |
Still nothing :(
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 5, 2021 4:45 AM |
Checked my checking account. I got mine today
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 5, 2021 4:53 AM |
Today. 600. Zzzzzzz
by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 5, 2021 5:05 AM |
I'm not getting anything. Didn't get anything last time either.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | January 5, 2021 5:10 AM |
Yes as did everyone else I know. It was posted quickly.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | January 5, 2021 10:40 AM |
R44 Looks like Turbo Tax also had a serious issue. That covers my family member. I hope they sort this out soon.

Me too. I splurged on Red Dragon cheese, several bottles of Joan Steffend favorite Yellow Tail, and a clearance-sale rentboy.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | January 6, 2021 7:38 AM |
I looked it up, mine is supposedly being mailed today. USPS being what it is, I hope to get it by end of February.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | January 6, 2021 1:48 PM |
Thanks to the Trump Pony Express, my check mailed today will probably not arrive until the end of the month.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | January 6, 2021 2:51 PM |
Received my $600 yesterday it showed up in my checking acct.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | January 9, 2021 2:36 AM |
The IRS said they would mail my check 2 days ago.
Why will your check take a month, r60?
by Anonymous | reply 62 | January 9, 2021 3:50 AM |
Yesterday, I received a debit card stimulus "check." I just called to activate it and there is $600 on it.
Yesterday, I was at the store, buying groceries, and they were out of a lot of things (no jalapeño peppers for my salsa!). Cashier said they had been busy and she said it was b/c of the stimulus checks just coming out.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | January 26, 2021 5:07 PM |
I got my debit card yesterday. What a joke that you have to call to activate it and the lines are clogged. Then you have to set up the online profile. What is it, 1990? I'm fortunate that I had a job all through the pandemic and I'm still fine, but holy fuck, emergency relief shouldn't be that hard to access. What about people who aren't tech savvy?
I eventually got through, walked to my bank, withdrew the cash, deposited it in my checking account.
For some reason, mine was like 599.50. So I withdraw 590 and attached the card to my Amazon account for the 9 bucks.

I got my check today...I live in Spain. It was mailed out on the 6th of January and it arrived today 😊. I've been checking my mailbox for the last two weeks...I was very happy this afternoon.
