I will say- there are very few films in the history of time that evoke a "real moment"

I really love that scene in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore where Alice and Flo are laying in the sun just talking...

I think All My Children is mentioned. The sun shining on their faces. You can see the lines.

It is REAL to me.

I dig Diane Ladd. I loved when she (rightfully) bitched about Category fraud at the Oscars.

And she was AMAZING on Enlightened. Especially in that episode dedicated to her character. She was stellar. Great episode.

Rambling Rose is a good movie starring Diane and her daughter Laura Dern. Both received Academy Award nominations, Diane for supporting and Laura for lead. It's the only time in history that a mother-daughter were nominated the same year. Both lost, btw.

Also try to catch a very young Diane playing a country cousin to George Baxter in the old Hazel TV series. The episode is as corny as the series, but there's something real about Diane's performance.
