They tried her on the pre-6AM show. Slathering vaseline on the lens and back up to Nebraska didn't make her look human. Her delivery is high school, she brusque, she rushes through copy like she has somewhere better to go. She calls everyone "you guys." Now they've sent her to weekends at 3PM.

OP here. Three things:

- I actually LIKE Welker and think she's a great asset to NBC. Didn't meant to imply otherwise.

- The comment about looking like the Mona Lisa actually came from my husband, as we were watching Welker live on Saturday morning. Wish I could find a picture that really captures the look.

- I mentioned Hoda Kotb as an example because I once saw her in person at Newark Airport, and she was strikingly beautiful - tall and well-dressed - and that image of her has lasted through the years.

But Savannah is an ugly broad.

Her hair color is so flat. A few subtle highlights would take her looks up a few notches.

I think she's "cute", not so much pretty and far from beautiful. I think she'd look MUCH better with a new "do", maybe a blunt cut with bangs. And more eye make-up.
