Where can I buy them? Is $30 a pair only option?
Bulk 100% cotton percale pillowcases?

And why do (quality) pillowcases cost so much money? Is it just a racket, or are they difficult to manufacture? I like my Brooklinen, but I do not like paying for it.

The sheet sets at Costco typically have 4 pillowcases rather than 2 if that helps. They typically are decent quality but the colors get picked over quickly leaving all white sets - at least at my location

Percale is the best OP. $30 a pair sounds like a good price. Are they decent quality?

Yeah, $30 was probably for something sketchy on Amazon. I usually buy Brooklinen, and actually had some points saved up with them and got a pair of king pillowcases which ended up being $35 total after the discount. I wish I had never tried the good sheets, I'm hooked now.... I did find one place with supposed percale 100% cotton cases in bulk, but they didn't have a matte finish. I don't call that percale.

You got to wait for the sales OP. Or you will pay an arm and a leg.

Borrow a sewing machine, buy some cotton fabric and sew some straight lines. Easy-cheap.

The Wirecutter really likes the LL Bean percale set. The pillowcases are 2 for $40 for a standard size.

Plus LL Bean has sales all the time and frequent coupon codes.
