Did Alec pressure Hilaria to be more interesting and sexy?

To continue, I can see Alec saying, when Hilaria had confessed she plays up her ties to Spain, "Let's pretend you're Spanish!" I can see it seeming like a fun thing to fake the media AND make Alec more colorful on talk shows AND enhance Hillary's businesses. It probably seemed harmless at first and then snowballed. If you watch them in public, H. is certainly sticking her mug in the camera, but it is Alec who is pushing the Spanish thing and she looks uncomfortable when he does.

Dragging the kids in is what makes it unacceptable. They need to apologize and make this right before the kids get harassed in daycare.

The Fake Senora has an agent at CAA, and until recently, her bio on their site stated that she was born in Spain. Were they in on it, too? Alec Baldwin has been famous for decades. He's experienced controversies. He's had public relations types on staff forever. There is no way someone like him would push a totally fabricated agenda like this for years and not expect it to eventually blow up and embarrass him/them. They made themselves a permanent joke and I simply can't envision him agreeing to it.

I do think that she is an expert, pathological liar and bamboozled him. She probably provided just enough details to make it seem believable and also obscured a lot. Like Meghan Markle convincing Harry that she was some sort of poor orphan and then getting him down the aisle before he even knew what was happening.

i used to think all of DL was obsessed with the dissection of celebrity status but i think its just a few random people now. actors dont engage in this type of status dissection. mainly because they're egotistical and dont realize when they've fallen out of favor until much later.

but its genuinely demented to pose a question like OP does. Celebrities generally dont marry like that (which is not the same as people who look to trade on a relationship to gain publicity, which some unknowns do).

And btw, Alec Baldwin's career was in the toilet when Kim Basinger won an Oscar. He'd gone from leading man in over a dozen studio movies to acting in Thomas and the Tank Engine, a movie for preschoolers. Everything he was in lost money. If anything he probably was happy for his wife when she won and then beat her up soon after. Alec fought everyone and it was known he was a domestic abuser.

At some point, Alec Baldwin met Hillary’s parents, whatever other relatives, etc. I’m guessing Hillary was the only one with this strong Spanish accent. That would have made a normal person ask how come. Alec has good politics, but he is nuts. He knew this was a grift and was nuts enough to take part init.

Of course he knew. He'd met her parents and could see and hear that they weren't Spanish. Why they decided to fake her origins, I'll never understand.

Alec Baldwin needed something to raise his profile--hence, young, controllable wife (no celebrity of her own), a bunch of kids, and the aura of specialness conveyed to Americans by European connections.

Kim winning that Oscar ended her marriage. Hilaria is a down for whatever chica, with a lower profile than Kim who got Alec at a discounted rate. He's an aging bachelor who lost his good looks 20 years ago. Kim still works but you don't hear any drama about her life. Alec is a senior who still has plenty of personal drama and a passel of brats under 10 years old. Having so many children at his age indicates poor judgment.

Alec is an egotistical jerk who gives off small dick energy. That’s why he couldn’t deal with having a wife who had won an Oscar. Kim was, and still is, too good for him.

Kim Basinger allegedly has severe agoraphobia and basically is a recluse who is afraid to leave her home. That's why you never hear any drama about her, but I'll bet she had plenty of crazy going on at home. Combined with Alec's temper, it was probably a toxic situation.

Shoot I remember the stories that came out when they first hooked up on that movie. They were having crazy sex in the trailers. Yelling, trailer shaking and screams to boot.
