Philip Seymour Hoffman won the Oscar for "Capote" while Toby Jones was ignored for "Infamous". Katherine Keener was Harper Lee in Capote; Sandra Bullock in Infamous. Daniel Craig (Perry Smith) in Infamous; Clifton Collins, Jr in Capote. One great movie could have been made by mixing the stars and supporting casts.
Which film about In Cold Blood do you prefer - Capote or Infamous?

'Capote' was the better film (superior script) but Toby Jones was the better actor for the part.

I agree R1, Toby Jones unfortunately never got the career he deserved.

He most certainly did, r5, considering the shape of his head!

Toby Jones gets lots of work and is always good but his performance as Truman Capote nailed him to a tee and easily betters the miscast Philip Seymour Hoffman who didn't get the voice right and was way way too large to play the rather petit Capote.

My favorite film about In Cold Blood is Richard Brooks' 1967 film which deserved to be nominate for Best Picture over Doctor Doolittle to say the least.
