I remember the wild stories about her and Glenn Campbell....She's one tough lady, and I salute her.

I remember being a pre-teen and reading about how Campbell used to beat the shit out of her, but when her comeback album dropped a few years back and everyone was talking about her, I saw no mention of it. I went to look it up and could find no evidence of it having happened. I thought it was an odd thing to have scrubbed.

It’s not scrubbed r26 it’s on the autobiography she wrote and in interviews but Campbell is dead and what more is there to say about it.

Her last album, "While I'm Living" is one of the best, most honest and gorgeously raw works put out by anyone in the last 10 years. Tanya hadn't recorded in a long time, But Brandi Carlile convinced her and produced it for her. Tanya's voice is spectral on it, like late Johnny Cash. She's more melodic and still vocally gifted, but it's a raw sound. Great songs and gorgeous singing. Exactly as she sounds in life. No studio gimmicks. (she fought against that idea:) Yes, she deservedly won some Grammy Awards for it, got across the board critical raves and was profiled in the New Yorker, but that album deserved MUCH more play and attention from crappy new country music.

That's because she didn't have 3rd degree burns. That's just typical celebrity exaggeration. Just like her line about the flames went in her nose all the way down into her lungs. That is physically impossible. She probably got some very hot air into her lungs, but the flames did not go that far down.

Many celebrities think anything, good or bad, that happens to them must always be far better or worse than would happen to a normal person.

R39- After I typed my comment about the 3rd degree burns I quickly realized it was a typical celebrity "enhancement" of reality. I think it was a great excuse to make for her aging face and diminished voice. All that hard living and drinking definitely aged Tanya's voice too. But her recent album used it to a wonderful effect. She is a very likable woman.And that album cover above for Lover Goodbye is HILARIOUS. They really tried to make her the slut of country with that dynamite placed on her crotch like a giant penis!

She is as fun as hell.

How does she feel about the gays?

In this photo, her hairline (sides) look pulled back (facelift). Also, her eyes look like she had upper lid blepharoplasty (eye lift). Lips look injected but not to a crazy degree. In other photos, it looks like she's had all of her teeth replaced.

That said, she had (maybe still has) a great, sultry voice. Seems like a sweet lady. So what if she got plastic surgery.

Tanya doesn't always tell the truth. She couldn't. But she's authentic and has one of the great true country voices. She seems brave to me. She's unapologetic, at least to the public. She's way too real for the mainstream anymore. That includes her looks - they tell a story of their own.

Looking at these celebs, who look much older than than bio ages, should be a cautionary tale. Stay away from drugs and heavy drinking.

I have female relatives who are well into their 60s and 70s who don't look this terrible. No, they didn't have any plastic surgery, just led healthy lives. Even the women who pumped out more than one or two kids, don't look this awful.
