German nuns 'dragged' children to be abused by priests
German nuns aided in the abuse of children by priests in the 1960s and 1970s, according to recently released court documents.
A victim testified that he was abused more than 1,000 times by clergy after nuns dragged him to the home of predators, Deutsche Welle reported.
The victim alleged some of the nuns received money for acting like "pimps," Der Spiegel reported.

Yes, blame the nuns, not the priests who did the molesting. Nuns have 0 power in Mother Church.

That just gave me chills. Imagining children being dragged to predators. I hope every last one of them is stabbed to death if they're not already dead.

r4 It's difficult to defend priests since we don't know who they are until years later. THAT is one of the major sticking points. The defense is that the abuse continues, under wraps, while some are shuttled around to various parishes or care facilities, to keep them ahead of rumors. All the while, the statute of limitations is counting down( a most shameful way of avoiding "Render unto Caesar.....").
I can see why church leaders never get into trouble, because so many of them hobnob with TPTB, especially in the larger cities. Their confreres, friends, acquaintances and colleagues who come to hear about the abuse, never seem to get 'the icks' or have the balls to report them to the authorities. Then when they finally get found out they always fall back on the letter of the law and not the spirit. Shameful in the extreme.
Tell the Church to read its Bible( you know, that book they love to bash non-believers with[thank you, Bill Maher]: "Whatsoever ye do to the least of My brethren, ye do unto Me."

Any group that consists of only men in the hierarchy of power always has been, always will be, a total shitshow, rife with abuse of the weak and violence. Men cannot be trusted unsupervised, that much is clear by now.

My cousin said a nun used to come to his classroom to escort him to where ever the priest was at his school. The nun must have known what was going on.

Thanks R2 and R10, but women don't get to play the delicate flower when it suits them.

Read earlier today that the Mormons are having their own scandal surrounding the sexual abuse that has occurred in the Boy Scouts led by Mormon males.

I am as skeptical about this as I have been about the Pell accusations. Der Spiegel absolutely hates the Catholic church and will do everything to take it down.

The Catholic Church is doing plenty to bring itself down

If we've learned anything in recent years, is you can't trust ANYONE, no matter how high society places a person or an organization.
