Eldergays Remember That Hot Hunk Of Man Lee Horsley?

He played PI 'Matt Houston' for 3 years 1982-1985. Yes Tom Selleck was hot, but in a cheesy gay porn star way. Horsley was simply drop dead gorgeous but didn't act like he knew it.

Was he Horsley-hung?

Good God Miss Agnes, how'd you like to wake up in the morning and see that lying next to you.

Cocky, wasn't he?

by Anonymousreply 5December 27, 2020 1:54 AM

Remember that beautiful, as Horsley once referred to it, the "crotch shot" in the opening credits of every show?

That was one sexy bit of moundage in those jeans and chaps.

by Anonymousreply 7December 27, 2020 1:59 AM

My loins are afire again, after all these years.

Totally agree, OP. Adolescent gayling me found him far more.... stimulating than Tom Selleck.

He's worked a lot over the decades, but never seemed to really rival Selleck's level of fame/stardom.

He's 6'3" (sigh...) and has been married to the same woman for 40 years. Here's Lee with a young Clooney!

^ Clooney and Horsey.

Both of them should have changed their names.

by Anonymousreply 10December 27, 2020 2:07 AM

Lee feelin' the Bern ....

He was born in Texas, raised in Denver. He definitely had the innate swagger.

by Anonymousreply 12December 27, 2020 2:07 AM

R12 Plus, he was 6'3.

by Anonymousreply 13December 27, 2020 2:10 AM

I'm still hot, you queens! Now -- who wants to buy a reverse mortgage?

by Anonymousreply 14December 27, 2020 2:15 AM

He was the star of my favorite TV series ever with Dennis Fimple!

by Anonymousreply 15December 27, 2020 2:19 AM

That's a man!

by Anonymousreply 16December 27, 2020 2:20 AM

He definitely made my 13 year old self VERY uncomfortable while watching tv with the family.

by Anonymousreply 17December 27, 2020 2:23 AM

I remember him as the sidekick in the short-lived Nero Wolfe series from 1981.

R6 I'm too young to have watched that show but that video suggests the show was played for laughs.

by Anonymousreply 20December 27, 2020 2:32 AM

Id still give Lee all the ass he could stand. He looks damn handsome for his age . I always liked him far more than Tom . All I really liked about Tom was his hairy chest .

by Anonymousreply 21December 27, 2020 2:33 AM

r20, and it had its humorous side, as did "Magnum PI." Originally it was played extremely seriously, but there was always something ridiculous about"Matt Houston": it was so obviously a rip-off of "Magnum," and i think Horsley was far less comfortable being a superstud than Selleck was, despite the fact that he was so good-looking.

by Anonymousreply 22December 27, 2020 2:35 AM

I liked the show. It's odd that it only ran for three seasons because I felt like it had been at least five.

He was and remains a very good looking man.

My 71 year old mother recently became obsessed with Horsley because of some Guns of Paradise show on Get-TV. She has no memory of Matt Houston (which I always watched), and spends at least part of every day reading about him on-line and looking at pictures. I got her the Nero Wolfe series on DVD, and she savors each episode like a fine wine.

That said, yes, he was fine as fuck.

Since the image at R2 no longer works here it is again.

by Anonymousreply 29December 27, 2020 1:59 PM

A time when mustaches on young men weren't ironic.

His co-star Pamela Hensley went on to marry E. Duke Vincent who produced all of the Aaron Spelling schlock including Dynasty and Matt Houston, so she is rolling in dough. MH was her last acting credit.

by Anonymousreply 36December 29, 2020 4:06 AM

I always got Lee mixed up with the guy who played Mark Jennings on (old) Dynasty.

by Anonymousreply 37December 29, 2020 4:13 AM

R37 I see the resemblance. He was hot too.
