she dresses like an English lawyer

Dorothy was kaftan queen. When they went out for fancy dinners she would usually sport some kind of sparkly kaftan all covered in sequins. They were like strange kaftan pantsuit hybrids.

I liked her green and purple satin pajama/pantsuit combo. Kind of an 80's Endora look.

It worked for the times! She wore it a lot too, so the costume poeple liked it.

And trust me there were many looks quote more hideous! haha

R41 the only one I can think of that was even worse was that tuxedo she wore a couple times that was in almost the same color green/teal.

I felt safer with her in the house.

I’m sure she was taller than 5’9”. For a Hollywood woman back then, you would add 3 inches to her height in the same way that you would subtract 3 inches from a Hollywood man’s height.

R44 highly doubt it - the concept of what was tall for a woman was radically different then - and it wasn’t the ideal the way it is today. Betty and Rue were also super short (like 5’2”).

A lot of actors that was considered “weirdly tall” at the time weren’t all that at all. Jenilee Harrison is another - so many jokes were made about her height but she was just 5’8” surrounded by short actors.

The show's locale was Miami, but there was Dorothy in so many episodes wearing those ugly white boots. Few episodes saw her big feet encased in sandals, but those boots in Miami. Her wedding gown was a disaster.
