Four more years!
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia renewed for 4 more season
by Anonymous | reply 124 | December 15, 2020 8:47 PM |
I could watch new episodes of this show for the next 100 years.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 10, 2020 10:31 PM |
The newer seasons are weaker. But I'll take it. Good news!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 10, 2020 10:32 PM |
When will they be doing the gang opens an Only Fans account? Because I want to see the Mac videos.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 10, 2020 10:32 PM |
R3 YES!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 10, 2020 10:32 PM |
Bring back Fat Mac!
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 10, 2020 10:35 PM |
Muscled Mac is impressive.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 10, 2020 10:55 PM |
This DL-fave show has peaked, but is still very loved. Good news indeed.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 11, 2020 2:37 PM |
I maybe laughed at one episode from the most recent season, but, for whatever reason, this still makes me happy.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 11, 2020 2:45 PM |
Like others, I’m wary. Been watching old ones lately and the newer ones are just ok.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 11, 2020 2:48 PM |
The cast are aging weirdly. Particularly Glenn Howerton. Kaitlin Olson is drinking virgin blood or something.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 11, 2020 2:50 PM |
Awaiting the inevitable COVID-related madness from The Gang. Should be good.
Mac and Dennis should totally just hook up and become an open item now, while there's time left. PEEP SHOW did that with Jez and some guy in its last season.
I still think about Mac's exercise bike.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 11, 2020 2:54 PM |
Mac and Dennis have hooked up by now. Am I wrong?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 11, 2020 2:57 PM |
I really liked Sunny - a lot of good laughs, but my watching petered out around season 8. Are later seasons worthwhile? I did see a one-off episode from season 10 that was decent.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 11, 2020 2:58 PM |
R13 - yes, but it really varies episode to episode in later seasons.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 11, 2020 3:19 PM |
One of the funniest shows of all time. I put it off for years, because I thought it was some bro show, but once I saw the first few episodes I was hooked and binged the entire series in 2 weeks. It helps that the episodes are under a half hour and the seasons are short. They were clever to do that so they don't run out of ideas like most sitcoms that have 20-something episodes per season.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 11, 2020 4:41 PM |
What is it about the three (sometimes four) guys and one girl setup that is so rich for television comedies?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 11, 2020 4:49 PM |
The Gang Can't Hold Other Jobs
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 11, 2020 5:02 PM |
R18 - LOL!!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 11, 2020 5:26 PM |
Kudos, R18.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 11, 2020 7:11 PM |
Fitfat Mac nudity!
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 11, 2020 7:13 PM |
R14 I have to admit I'm masturbated thinking about Mac using that, and his Dennis sex doll.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 11, 2020 8:40 PM |
Years ago I'd heard about this show and watched a few episodes. When I saw the one where they went to the water park and Danny Devito loudly pretended to have AIDS to get to the front of the line (after Charlie gave him hickeys to look like kaposi sarcoma), and that was hardly the most outrageous moment in the episode, and I was laughing out loud. I realized I was dealing with a whole other kind of show and became hooked.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 11, 2020 8:44 PM |
Fun fact: This is the only show that gets applauded for repeated use of black-face!
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 11, 2020 8:49 PM |
I haven’t seen the newer ones. Is it still good? Seems like this has been on forever.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 11, 2020 8:58 PM |
I just moved to Philly. Never watched it. Is it required to understand the soul of the city?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 11, 2020 9:01 PM |
I want Mac to fuck me
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 11, 2020 9:02 PM |
Sweet Dee Is Dating R24.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 11, 2020 9:03 PM |
R16 I’m with you. I thought it would be some testosterone-fest. But my petite Asian -American female friend told me to watch it. I fell in love. Damn DEVito at his repulsive best.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 11, 2020 9:28 PM |
Any naked pics of HUGE PENIS MAC?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 11, 2020 9:32 PM |
I love the one where they have the hitch trailer and try to go on a road trip to the Grand Canyon (after trying to ditch Dee repeatedly) but never even get out of Philly. Dennis and Mac nearly burn to death after trying to use a BBQ grill in the moving trailer with the door closed.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 11, 2020 9:36 PM |
There needs to be a storyline where Mac is locked up in chasity
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 11, 2020 9:36 PM |
R23 "No matter how good it feels, don't sit on the suction drain at the bottom of the wave pool."
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 11, 2020 9:38 PM |
How big do you think Mac's penis is? Anyone?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 11, 2020 9:56 PM |
Based on what we've seen of his character, I would say average to small.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | December 11, 2020 10:07 PM |
This is a show that has been consistently good season after season.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 11, 2020 10:09 PM |
Mac has a micropeen would be a good storyline.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 11, 2020 10:11 PM |
The AIDS waterpark episode had me crying tears of laughter. I really don't know how they get away with everything they do. I guess because it's always at the expense of the lead characters. We're supposed to know they're awful people and it's kinda fun to watch them squirm and make fools of themselves.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 11, 2020 10:19 PM |
R26, it has very little to do with Philly itself, other than being taped there, and a few sports-themed episodes.
Here are some nude and shirtless pics of Rob (and his sadly underwhelming ass).
by Anonymous | reply 39 | December 12, 2020 5:16 AM |
I'd love to see the storyline with Mac finally showing off his massive size penis to the gang and Dee and Dennis both fall in love with Mac at the sight of it.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 12, 2020 5:22 AM |
R39 Except for a few throw away exterior shots and maybe a special episode or two, it’s not taped in Philadelphia.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 12, 2020 5:24 AM |
four more years. never seen this particular television program, but helluva lot better than four more years of y'all know who....
by Anonymous | reply 42 | December 12, 2020 5:28 AM |
Actually, Trump is one of the few who can actually outdo the character’s vileness on the show, so it is the lesser of two evils.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | December 12, 2020 6:03 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 44 | December 12, 2020 5:19 PM |
Good news! I love the gang. They’re despicable and help me make peace with my inner demons.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | December 12, 2020 5:30 PM |
[quote]How big do you think Mac's penis is? Anyone?
Looks like a button on a fur coat.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | December 12, 2020 6:15 PM |
I just started watching this. Thanks, DL!
by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 12, 2020 6:46 PM |
I'm thrilled they got renewed for 4 more seasons. I just hope they don't go on lengthy hiatuses between each of them as they have done in the past.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | December 12, 2020 7:00 PM |
This show always seemed to be a frat boy show, like Entourage, so I never watched it. Can't believe it's been on for something like 20 seasons!
by Anonymous | reply 49 | December 12, 2020 7:08 PM |
[quote] Except for a few throw away exterior shots and maybe a special episode or two, it’s not taped in Philadelphia.
We see them filming around Philly every season. They even redo the storefronts. It’s always funny and they’re extremely nice to everyone. Danny is a sweetheart.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | December 12, 2020 7:08 PM |
I love everyone trying to diagnose Dennis. Sociopath?
by Anonymous | reply 51 | December 12, 2020 7:08 PM |
R50 I’ve always suspected that Danny D. is a sweetheart. But he plays despicable so well.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | December 12, 2020 7:10 PM |
R46 A bee? Bee on me?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | December 12, 2020 9:29 PM |
To have your show picked up for another 4 seasons, is something every television actor want to hear. Especially for the work and opportunities that comes with being apart of a hit show. But also the $$$$$$.
Good for them!

by Anonymous | reply 55 | December 12, 2020 11:41 PM |
Sunny was popular at the beginning, but just given the one and nature of the show, I never ever would have predicted 18 seasons.
Actually, most shows I wouldn't want to last 18 seasons, and Sunny is probably past it's peak. But there's enough good stuff and good episodes to keep it going. I guess the nature of the show does help it - people being hilariously vile usually sells. And, as the characters age there's different things they can do with that.
The Gang is only in their mid 40s. I don't know why that surprises me.
They've quietly had some of the most successful careers in Hollywood.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | December 12, 2020 11:51 PM |
I meant "tone and nature of the show"
by Anonymous | reply 57 | December 13, 2020 12:03 AM |
I'm surprised the show isn't more popular here. It's pretty much a straight version of Datalounge: an insular, immature group of lying narcissists who alternately try to impress each other and vent their bottomless spleen.
I think they're tremendous.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | December 13, 2020 12:11 AM |
It has a weird reach. Most people have heard of it, and it has a dedicated audience, but for whatever reason, it's easy to miss. I've met lot of people who have never watched it (and didn't have any objection or negative impressions of it) or started watching significantly after it debuted.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | December 13, 2020 12:15 AM |
It was one of those shows that, for whatever reason, I'd always assumed would be a frat guy kinda show like Jackass or something. Just people drinking and being stupid, but after a friend I trusted told me how funny it was, I gave it a shot and realized how incredibly clever it was. Each of the actors brings something wonderfully original to the table to keep the dynamic fresh and they have excellent chemistry together which you can't fake. That goes a long way.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | December 13, 2020 1:46 AM |
Okay, this thread has gotten me in the mood to check out some old episodes I haven't seen in a while. The AIDS waterpark one is definitely on the list. What are some of your other favorite episodes from prior seasons?
by Anonymous | reply 64 | December 13, 2020 1:55 AM |
I think it has a Philly spirit - not very ambitious, working class, happy to hang out at the bar with friends you’ve known forever. It wouldn’t be as believable in many other cities - it’s totally believable in Philly.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | December 13, 2020 2:08 AM |
"Can a twink be a top, or is that reserved for bears?"
LMAO. Half of it is the precision of the line readings. In someone else's hands, it very well might not be as funny. They all crack me up with their particular deliveries.
Katlin Olson is a treasure.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | December 13, 2020 2:11 AM |
I think I almost passed out watching that episode in which Frank escaped, naked and oiled up, from inside a couch.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | December 13, 2020 2:18 AM |
There are so many good episodes R64. The show was remarkably consistent for its first eight or nine seasons, and it's still mostly great through season 12 IMHO. Just start from the beginning.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | December 13, 2020 2:21 AM |
Although I will say I think I hyperventilated while watching Mac Is a Serial Killer. Definitely a personal fave.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | December 13, 2020 2:22 AM |
What is the episode where Geoffrey Owens (Elvin from the Cosby Show) shows up as "Tiger Woods" at Dee's door? I remember that being really funny episode.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | December 13, 2020 2:52 AM |
Am I remembering correctly that they were basically forced to take Devito on as a castmember and they really didn't want to (not because they didn't like Devito but because they didn't want to be told what to do), but it all ended up working out superbly.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | December 13, 2020 3:00 AM |
I'm rewatching in response to this thread. The first episode of the first season - The Gang Gets Racist - has me laughing two minutes in when Dee tells them to "not be weird" because a guy from her acting class is coming by - who is black. And of course the Gang is super weird and awkward.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | December 13, 2020 3:16 AM |
And there's the gay subplot in the very first episode.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | December 13, 2020 3:28 AM |

This became a huge meme on election night. BTW, it’s Pennsylvania Charlie is reading. lmao
by Anonymous | reply 79 | December 13, 2020 6:34 AM |
There’s an entire episode where they’re trying to see a movie just because a guy shows his dong in it.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | December 13, 2020 6:36 AM |
Weirdly, I could see Charlie Day in a Billy Joel biopic.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | December 13, 2020 7:12 AM |
I know Dumb musclehead Mac and psychopathically narcistic Dennis get a lot of love, but I've always thought Charlie is quite cute.
by Anonymous | reply 87 | December 13, 2020 7:41 AM |
I love that Charlie and "The Waitress" are actually married in real life.
by Anonymous | reply 88 | December 13, 2020 7:42 AM |
But it’s creepy that Dee and Mac are too.
by Anonymous | reply 89 | December 13, 2020 7:49 AM |

AP Bio is a funny show.
by Anonymous | reply 91 | December 13, 2020 9:44 AM |
I just remembered...after the first episode I almost gave up on the show, because I thought it was going too far to make light of the possibility of Dennis getting raped. Since then the show has had some even darker moments. (Thank goodness!)
by Anonymous | reply 92 | December 13, 2020 10:24 AM |
The Dennis looks like a pedophile episode... Frank’s little girls pageant... the fake funeral for the dumpster baby, which was Rob and Kaitlin’s real child... lol.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | December 13, 2020 2:34 PM |
Dennis wants a divorce. I love when she used his money to turn herself into a cat.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | December 13, 2020 2:40 PM |
Mac coming out to his father doing a great dance routine is still a great television moment.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | December 13, 2020 2:44 PM |
For those of you new to the show, Rob McElhenney who plays Mac was still waiting tables when the first season aired. He was also raised by two women.
by Anonymous | reply 97 | December 13, 2020 4:36 PM |
Charlie Day is so cute to me.
by Anonymous | reply 98 | December 13, 2020 4:40 PM |
Rob is the ultimate fag stag; lesbian moms, two gay brothers.
Anyone got pics of his gay bros? Please don't let them be fugly.
by Anonymous | reply 99 | December 13, 2020 5:19 PM |
[quote]What is the episode where Geoffrey Owens (Elvin from the Cosby Show) shows up as "Tiger Woods" at Dee's door?
That was Frank's Pretty Woman, the one where Frank wants to marry his best hoor, Roxie, and Dee becomes a foot girl. Just typing that made me smile.
I'm expecting them to someday do a self-aware ep that seems to be setting up a spinoff. And these those characters will never be seen again.
PS: Happy Holidays, you savages!
by Anonymous | reply 101 | December 13, 2020 6:30 PM |
Here is one of Rob’s gay brothers who is a photographer and is very cute.
by Anonymous | reply 102 | December 13, 2020 6:49 PM |
The woman who plays Artemis (also her real name) is a standout.
by Anonymous | reply 103 | December 13, 2020 6:49 PM |
There was one episode that took place mainly on a boat at the dock. One of the gang had purchased it for cheap, and they were trying to fix it up. I’m not sure what season it’s from or the name of the episode. I was up late one night because of a stomach virus, and I remember laughing so hard, while trying not to laugh at all, because everything hurt after vomiting so much.
It’s also really funny when the point of view is shown from the height of DeVito.
by Anonymous | reply 105 | December 13, 2020 6:58 PM |
R102 - here's Pat and his hubby. Any ID on the other gay brother??

Mac’s childhood home is actually Rob’s. Here’s the real house’s interior.
by Anonymous | reply 107 | December 14, 2020 3:48 AM |
The family. Rob’s sister is a writer... I think.

The Gang dances at high school reunion.
Mac’s name is revealed: Ronald McDonald
by Anonymous | reply 114 | December 14, 2020 4:00 AM |
r72 That was the first episode of Season 7. If anyone wants to get a sense of the show, just watch the first few episodes of Season 7 and if you like it, go back to the beginning of season 2....season 1 is kind of experimental, not the best place to start. you can always watch it later out of curiosity.
by Anonymous | reply 115 | December 14, 2020 4:09 AM |
The gay bros seem fun. Younger one's very artsy.
by Anonymous | reply 116 | December 14, 2020 4:14 AM |
R114 The dance routine at the end of that episode had me screaming. When I watched it I kept rewinding it and re-watching the "reveal" again and again. I'm chuckling now just typing this. One of the show's funniest moments!
by Anonymous | reply 117 | December 14, 2020 11:11 AM |
What was it about elaborate dance routines for the season finale? Better Things did one as well.
by Anonymous | reply 118 | December 14, 2020 3:28 PM |
I just saw a VERY young Rob on an old Law & Order episode. He's maybe 13 or 14 and looked like Haley Joel Osment. No surprise many years later on one of the Sunny episodes, their doppelgangers enter the bar. Mac's was Haley Joel Osment; they still looked very similar! I can't remember who the others were...
by Anonymous | reply 120 | December 15, 2020 3:18 PM |
I liked the tranny that Mac fell for and tried to keep apart from the gang. She winds up married to the black guy and doesn't Dee have their surrogate baby?
by Anonymous | reply 121 | December 15, 2020 3:20 PM |
I don't even watch this show and I really like Rob McElhenney. He's so handsome, but he seems like he's not got a big ego in real life. He mostly cares about being funny.
