Does she deserve even a scaled back position under the Biden administration? I would argue yes. I’m sure others here will say differently.
Birx seeks to join Fauci under the next Biden administration
by Anonymous | reply 58 | December 10, 2020 10:36 PM |
No. I'd like to think differently because of her recent show of spine, but her willing capitulation to Trump's lies in the spring cost, as she must have it would, thousands of American lies. She needs to atone horribly for that.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 10, 2020 5:57 PM |
No she doesn't. Back when she was doing all that BS it had been reported many times that she lost her credibility within her profession.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 10, 2020 6:02 PM |
No. Spineless lackey. Republican enabler.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 10, 2020 6:04 PM |
I don’t that she brings anything useful to the table. I realize that she was in an awful position, but she lacks credibility and ethical character as this point. Move along, Toots.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 10, 2020 6:08 PM |
I agree that she was wrong. But I am sure in her head she was thinking she could do more good by staying in Trump's good graces. I would give her another chance and hope she learned her lesson. She was obviously not believing the BS that she was selling.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 10, 2020 6:09 PM |
She is woefully ineffective and needs to exit the stage prior to the end of the Trump Administration.
If she seeks rehabilitation, she can write a book with a detail of all the things the Trump Administration purposely did to make the U.S. a case study on how a developed nation should NOT manage a public health crisis.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 10, 2020 6:11 PM |
Piss on this twat!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 10, 2020 6:11 PM |
She cooked her professional goose when she agreed to stand up there during Trump's daily pressers.
Ask people she's worked with in the past whether she should go work in the Biden administration.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 10, 2020 6:12 PM |
Absolutely not. There are plenty of other qualified professionals to choose from. The fucking nerve on this pandering, enabling, bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 10, 2020 6:17 PM |
No second acts. Those scarves of hers are stained with the bloody sputum of hundreds of thousands of our fellow citizens.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 10, 2020 6:21 PM |
Yeah...kinda hard to forgive her allowing him to spout nonsense about drinking bleach and shining a light in the body unchecked. I don’t envy her position but we are relying on the medical/science people to give us usable info and let us know when advice is bad.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 10, 2020 6:25 PM |
Drop her ass. Get some new blood in there.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 10, 2020 6:28 PM |
No, absolutely not, unequivocally no.
She’s incredible, ineffective, and a laughingstock among the general public and the medical profession.
There are plenty of other doctors out there who are well versed in virology.
Sorry, she sold her soul.

What has Biden said? He might give her a second chance, you know...because it's just who Biden is.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 10, 2020 7:29 PM |
Perhaps the firing squad.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 10, 2020 7:36 PM |
I hate to defend anyone who I feel propped up Trump these last 4 years... but I don't know about your jobs, but sometimes you have to suck it up and toe the line, even when you personally know that your leadership is a bunch of quacks taking you down a dangerous path.
And some of us like our jobs, living indoors , heat in the winter, air in the summer, and food... so you have to sort of weigh all that against crackpots who don't know what they're doing but who have been elected to be in charge.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 10, 2020 7:43 PM |
She's been traveling around the country for months, speaking to local leaders and colleges to help them develop Covid plans. And doing interviews telling people to mask up, socially distance, all the right things.
I've read that she's also helped get more resources to states and local areas — they just distributed something like 90 million rapid tests.
Is it too little too late? Maybe. But she's not Scott Atlas. She's been on the ground trying to keep people alive.
There's a November article on The Hill about this, but DL apparently doesn't allow those links.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 10, 2020 7:44 PM |
She’s desperately trying to find the other half of her soul that left her body during Dump’s “drink bleach PSA”
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 10, 2020 7:47 PM |
I do hope, whatever happens, she speaks out about her experiences with Trump and exposes him even further as the idiot we all know he is.
Has Fauci commented on her future? I would imagine his opinion would be paramount.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 10, 2020 7:49 PM |
birx and fauci are both pieces of shit
Never forget that after the Woodward tapes were released (2-3 months ago) fauci went on fox news and told the entire world that trump did a good job, wasn't downplaying anything and on and on
birx and fauci are why people think the virus is a hoax and that masks don't work or actually harm people
fuck both of those cunts
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 10, 2020 7:51 PM |
From the gossip I read, she wants to be the lead dog pulling the sled. That doesn’t make her the team player she might now appear to be. As a lot of trump’s sycophants are going to find out, it’s difficult to get the telltale stain off your lips when sucking an a rotten ass.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 10, 2020 7:56 PM |
She can piss off and go hawk her pathetic frau scarves on Etsy.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 10, 2020 8:00 PM |
Fuck her. I saw the Hulu doc about America's response to COVID. She was only chosen because she's a very strong Christian (read Republican) which is how she justified sitting against the wall and nodding like an idiot when Trump suggested the bleach BS. When the press asked her pointed questions she'd give the WH's line. 300k people have died and she sat there and smiled. Dr. Fauci at least attempted to seem credible during his political didges and eventually said "F this" and dd his work outside of the WH.
So no she should not be on Biden's team because she is one of the most known faces of Trump's team of incompetent spin doctors.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 10, 2020 8:11 PM |
She should be DEAD to the Biden White House. And Fauci's silly, squirrely equivocations should get him kicked to curb, too.
There are many qualified and mediagenic epidemiologists that could replace them.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 10, 2020 8:17 PM |
Birx Off!!
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 10, 2020 8:18 PM |
I think Biden is continuing with Fauci because he has years of work before Trump in the contagious disease field.
But Fauci said a couple of things that helped cause the mess we’re in now: when there was an extreme N95 mask shortage in the beginning, “masks don’t work.” Lie. Later he said, I just said that because there no masks available. Liar. Trump told him to say that and he lied to people because Trump wanted him to.
“Masks don’t protect you. They protect others.” Another lie. And the sociopaths that love Trump don’t give a shit about others.
Months later, Deplorables are still saying, masks don’t work. They’re useless. Fauci put that in their heads, and it’s never coming out. Ever.
He later found his spine after Trump became too much either for him. But it’s obvious he has no trouble lying and he has a lot of deaths on his head. If you want to be a politician, run for office.
About Birx, just no. She should lose her medical license for letting Trump stand there and tell people to drink poison. People actually did that. Some died, others destroyed their insides. They’ll never recover. She was right there, she should have contradicted it right at that time. She let him get away with it and his worshippers believed him. People died because she didn’t open her mouth.
Why are these people so desperate to keep their jobs anyway? They’re old. Retire. If you want to get paid to lie to people, you don’t need that job. I think Biden is just keeping Fauci because he’s been pissed on by Trump for months and is practically a martyr by now. And he thinks continuity is important. At least Fauci won’t be going along with extreme lies. But Dr Michael Osterholm would be better. He’s also very qualified, has worked in the field for decades, and won’t back down from a Mack truck. And he’s a plain speaker. At least he did hire him.

Too many senile pensioners with too many typos and syntax errors here. Please concentrate before you type anything, nans.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 10, 2020 8:54 PM |
Damn, this is a real Sophie's Choice decision. Birx seemed so ineffective in her public persona and enabling Trump even when he talked about injecting bleach. However, I don't know her brain power and how much of an asset she is behind the scenes.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 10, 2020 8:55 PM |
I never want to see her face again until they note her death on the evening news. Now, that can be in a number of years and that is fine, but she is DONE. Trump's death, on the other hand, will set off a celebration like the world has never seen before (as he would tweet). She committed war crimes and should be one of the ones facing our new Nuremburg trials.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 10, 2020 8:57 PM |
Dr Birx is only in her early 60s, she's probably going to be around for decades to come. She's still relatively young.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | December 10, 2020 8:59 PM |
GTFO Birx!
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 10, 2020 9:01 PM |
Birx kinda looks like a first lady to me. But who would her husband be? She looks like she could've been a first lady back in the 1970s/80s, she just kinda has that first lady look about herself.
Just a weird thought of mine.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 10, 2020 9:01 PM |
R35, her neck looks older than 60 years.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 10, 2020 9:02 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 39 | December 10, 2020 9:04 PM |
She and Laura Bush are actually really good friends. So there's that.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 10, 2020 9:07 PM |
She's so unconvincing when she speaks. She doesn't sound confident, firm, or direct about anything. She's half apologizing for what she is trying to say. Around in circles, and then - I'm like - what did she just try to say! I don't think one person decided to wear a mask after listening to her. Horrible. Last thing we need.

I'll go out on a limb here: your sucking up probably didn't result in 250K,000 people dying.

by Anonymous | reply 48 | December 10, 2020 9:48 PM |
I think it's going to turn out that Birx's enemies floated this story. Same with the precious Mayor Pete. These rumors do not help the case of either of them. Biden's team has been incredibly disciplined so far. If she's lucky Biden will let her return to her job as Aids ambassador. But she probably won't be lucky.

Whatever she thought was wrong and potentially cost some their lives. She is a failure. She has proven that she is not a leader. We need leadership.

That approach may work out well at the widget factory. However, it does not work for a international pandemic and the leadership upon which we depend. And even the widget factory will suffer from poor decision making, with too many taking that approach.
[quote] And some of us like our jobs, living indoors , heat in the winter, air in the summer, and food... so you have to sort of weigh all that against crackpots who don't know what they're doing but who have been elected to be in charge.
Birx is not a low skilled, single mom factory working just trying to keep the lights on and food on the table. There is no acceptable excuse for her decision making and her lack of leadership.

R46 Thanks for answering my weird question.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | December 10, 2020 10:06 PM |
Instead of warning people not to drink bleach, she criticized the media.
[quote] The host then asked Birx, “As a doctor, doesn’t that bother you that you have to even spend any time discussing this?”
[quote] But Birx chose to focus on the media’s fixation rather than criticize the president, “I worry that we don’t get the information to the American people that they need when we continue to bring up something that was from Thursday night,” the doctor said.
[quote] Birx went on to excuse Trump’s comments away, saying they were “musings” and adding, “I think the president made it clear that physicians had to study this.”
And then she went on Fox and did it again:
[quote] The doctor also spoke to Fox News on Saturday night and was asked by host Jesse Watters, “Do you think the media in this country has been fair throughout this pandemic?”
[quote] Birx answered, “I think the media is very slicey and dicey about how they put sentences together in order to create headlines.”

R54, but a woman like her? She's had a long career, can retire whenever she wants, probably has a nice home or two. There is really very little excuse for a professional of her stature to be afraid/cowardly, because really, what did she have to lose by speaking the truth?
by Anonymous | reply 56 | December 10, 2020 10:19 PM |
R19 I don't know about your job, but Birx could've quit. Yours is a quisling perspective.
Yes, we need to keep track of these people crawling out of hole they helped Trump dig. No, it's not a holier than thou point.
Toxic enablers and professional careerists like Birx must not be allowed to rehabilitate themselves when the country needs to heal.

[quote] Maybe she's just scared of Trump and his cronies so decided to fall in line. Maybe he threatened her? Who knows.
You could be 100% correct. Yes, in fact, I think you are.
But we don’t need “yes men” in a position as important as hers was. We need people with integrity who will stand up when it’s the right thing to do and could actually save lives. Someone who, for the sake of the health and safety of America, is not afraid to not toe the company line out of fear. Then have the unmitigated gall to not only not attempt a rehabilitation, or a mea culpa for her failure to act, but to—as someone who she knows does—blame the media.
