Former Home of Golden Girl Estelle Getty Up For Sale

Found this. Seems like there is an interest in real estate and the 80s sitcom. EG, really made that show.

It's very nice and quite a wine collection!

I like how the bedroom french doors open onto the outside and the pool area is lovely.

Why did Dorothy always threaten Shady Pines, if Sophia was sitting on this jewel?

She sold it to the current owners in 2001 for just under $1.5 million.

It must have been a distress sale. It sounds like her bank account was empty and she needed money.

I first fell in love with Estelle in TORCH SONG TRILOGY in 1982. She was just a housewife who did some acting, but never caught a break until that show, at age 59.

Do you think they (or their pool boy) is constantly having to fish leaves out of that pool?

Pretty unremarkable.

[quote] She was just a housewife who did some acting, but never caught a break until that show, at age 59.

Dominic Cianese (Uncle Junior) was living in a studio apartment at the start of the Sopranos.

Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts) was living with his mother, sleeping on the couch, at the start of the Sopranos.

Interesting to hear about people who succeeded (financially) later in life.
