I enjoy the ONE song I know by her. It kinda has a Late 70s Disco Ballad feel to it. I'm not familiar with any of her other material.

I actually like her. For current pop stars? No one sounds like her. I know she can be derivative from past eras, but so are all of them (one way or another). I don't care about her dressed down aesthetic. I grew up in the 90s. That was par for the course for my rock star heroes.

The operative phrase in your post, OP, is “teenage girl.” Why would you go so nuts over one? Just don’t listen if you don’t like her music. It’s not hard—I’ve heard nothing more of her oeuvre than snippets of one or two songs and I barely know what she looks like.

She's really isn't the worst. You could argue she's more talented vocally than Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera because she actually has a technique and can control her voice. Much more easier on the ears. She isn't a bimbo either like Ariana, Camila, Beyonce, Nicki, Cardi or Miley, so she's better in that regard.

Post reminds me of Alanis Morissette, who I thought always looked skanky with dirty and unwashed hair when she came onto the scene.

Alanis Morissette is actually talented and worked hard to get to where she is and earn her awards. Unlike Billie who gets everything handed to her (half a dozen Grammys, Bond theme, etc.) within the first few years of her career.

She's like Charli D'Amelio who only gained nearly 100 million followers on Tik Tok in less than a year because her rich father bought them for her.

I find her to be very relaxing and soothing. Her music has an ASMR quality about it. I can’t imagine seeing her perform live, when concerts resume. It would have me nodding off.
