When did Harry S. came out as bi? Isn't he straight? Many female gay celebs cone out as bi ( Kristen Stewart, Cara Delevingne, Annie St. Vincent Clark, Carrie Brownstein).. it's just easier to succeed in the entertainment industry if you give hope to everyone that they have a chance with you

What i found annoying is the i'm bi (queer, lgbt, on the spectrum) and five minutes later "this is my girlfriend" in guys that never showed their personal life before. It's becoming trendy in actors who are playing gay characters (to avoid the stupid backlash of you have to be gay to play gay like if actings wasn't pretending to be someone you are not). Of course the fact that some of them are totally gay but after saying they are not straight the fake girlfriend looks more real (hey, they just came out so they have no reason to lie)

With social media, actors and singers became too aware of their image and try to push promotion all the time is exhausting.

Or maybe there are 'queens' who are actually bisexual, just as there are a few truly masculine men who are 1000000% homo. Its always funny to see gay men get upset at men they claim are 'gay', who are open about their bisexuality. It reeks of insecurity. Not many people are exclusively gay or straight, you only have to look around. And now this is becoming more mainstream, many guys who would have just settled with the 'gay' label are now bing honest about their desires for women as well and not letting the gay label box them in from romances with women.

Alan cumming was married to a woman for a number of years and then had a long term relationship with Saffron Burrows. He is clearly not gay. And as far as I can recall openly admits to falling on one side of the bisexual spectrum (the gay one) and so why are old white gays so triggered by the fact he is also into women?

r31 you misread what I said. I think we agree. There ARE gay men who are masculine, but there are also FEMININE bi men too. Just because a guy is 'gay' appearing - and open about his attraction to men, that doesn't negate his desires for women. As I said, I think we are getting a lot more guys being totally honest with who they are. 20 plus years ago, they would have just said gay as that would have been the simple label. But it wasn't accurate then, so more 'fey' guys are being open about the fact they are also into women, and not coming out of the straight closet and into the gay one which a lot of gay leaning bisexuals feel like they have to.
