Let's Be A History Book From The Year 2200 Discussing the Trump Era
I'll start.
Donald Trump was a failed real estate magnate who had squandered the millions his father had left him on a series of bad deals. The one area he was successful at, was getting his name in the press, and so, down on his luck, he managed to parlay his notoriety into a gig as host of a popular TV series called "the Apprentice" where he played a fast-charging CEO. The series was a hit for a few seasons, and Trump was quick to parlay his fame into a series of endorsement deals and branding ventures (Trump steaks, Trump University), most of which failed.
In 2015, Trump had sunk to being a prominent voice in the "birther" movement, a racist fringe group that claimed, with no evidence, that President Barack Obama was actually born in Kenya. His announcement of his campaign for the presidency was initially regarded as nothing more than a PR stunt, but the combination of a lackluster field of GOP candidates and the media's fateful decision to provide his over the top tweets and even more over the top rallies with wall-to-wall coverage, thus boosting both their ratings and his profile, turned him into the front-runner in the race.
Trump further confounded observers by developing a cult-like following among the white non-college educated working class, who saw in his crass mannerisms and frequent skewering of experts, a version of themselves, something they had never seen before in a politician. Their allegiance to Trump was solidified by the mockery and scorn his campaign elicited from the coastal media elite, which they saw as a parallel to the way they and their values (religion, gun ownership, anti-abortion) were skewered by the same group. Thus, when Trump's opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, allegedly referred to them as a "basket of deplorables", they took the name to heart.

I'm just one of the many thousands of doctoral dissertations written on the subject that combine to form the prevailing view of what went wrong.

I'm the New York Times in 2200 still interviewing diner patrons in the heartland asking "What was Trump's appeal to your 2016 ancestors?"

"Although Donald Trump is considered an utter failure of a president by most historians, his presidency ushered in the modern era of celebrity politicians. Before Trump, it was taken for granted that to be successful, a presidential candidate needed to have previous political experience. Today, of course, that is no longer the case, and most of our recent presidents have been social media influencers, entertainers and athletes. Although Trump's presidency was followed by the one-term presidency of Joe Biden, who had decades of Washington political experience and was certainly a more traditional-style president, the Biden presidency was a mere blip on the radar, the last gasp of the Washington political establishment. In 2024, Biden's vice president, Kamala Harris, would be the Democratic presidential nominee, only to be soundly defeated by Tucker Carlson, a former conservative cable news anchor and pundit."

With her nude photo spreads, Melania Trump ushered in a new era of "accessibility" for the modern First Lady.
Subsequent First Lady's came directly from the fields of prostitution and pornography as presidential candidates like to project the "bad boy" image of Donald J. Trump.

There will be many chapters about the Gulf oil states and Jared Kushner. When it's revealed in 2028 that 666 Fifth Avenue was hollowed out and used as a gigantic mind control center based on space age quantum computing and wavelength based weaponry, resulting in putting sleeper cell Ilhan Abdullahi Omar in the White House in 2025. Two years after, in 2027, she declared Marsha Law and instituted Sharia, which is still in place in 2200. The 666 is brushed off as "just politics as usual".

Inside the Caliphate, the Trumps are minor figures with the excepection of Jared and Ivanka, who were embalmed and reside in the semi-ruins of Mar-a-lago, on one of the small artificial Islands in the Florida Sea. These mummies are treated with rote spect and the citizens consider them kitsch nostalgia. They nevertheless revere the Jew who saved Islam, Jared, for his role in allowing the Jihad to take its proper importance in 21st and 22nd century World History.
