Julian or Sean?

Which of the Lennon brothers is the better musician?

I prefer Sean, to be honest. Despite his mother being a total crazy cunt, I like his work better.

They are both talented. I would say Julian is the better artist in that he made some very emotionally poignant albums. Julian struggled a lot and that anger came out in his work. He wanted to be seen as a distinctive entity from his father especially given that his father was neglectful and an asshole to him. Sean grew up privileged and sheltered, had a better relationship with John (though he died when Sean was very young) and his music veers more on the artsy and whimsical side. It often feels like it lacks substance and he comes as too derivative of his father. I think Julian's music stands out more too. Sean's music is typical New York hipster indie pop.

Uh, neither.

I think Dhani Harrison is the most musically talented of the Beatles' children. He is also the best looking and aging well.

Julian. Sean was always such a try-hard.

Musically, I have no idea. Sentimentally, I've always preferred Julian. He got such a raw deal with his Pops and he had to endure Yoko's greediness over the years.

I do think Sean is talented. Derivative of his father? I guess if you have to be derivative of someone, who best than a family member. I think he's comfortable with his riches so he doesn't have to try hard to be profound and deep in his music. Did he ever share his inheritance with his brother?

Sean has a strange man-child affectation that creeps me out a little now that he is on the shady side of 45 years old.

It's almost like his voice didn't fully mature.

I love Sean.

Julian and Sean are very close. It's nice they didn't let the drama surrounding their parents get in the way of forming a relationship. Yoko was such a bitch to Julian and tried to keep John away from him. Apparently when John was separated from Yoko, he did try to bond with Julian and brought Sean along with them. It seemed Yoko was jealous of Julian and that's why she refused to share any of John's money with Julian. And to add insult to injury, Yoko also refused to hand over items to Julian that John wanted to give to him like one of his guitars. Julian had to buy them back.

And also Yoko was still too stingy to help Paul McCartney buy back The Beatles catalog when they had the chance. Paul said he and Yoko agreed to split the cost and bid for it. But once the price got too steep, Yoko bailed out. And Paul didn't want to pay the rest.

I dont think Paul or Ringo's kids inherited any of their musical talent. Ringo was a drummer, so he had talent in that regard.

Zak Starkey (Ringo's son) is actually a very successful drummer.

The kids who are musicians should come together for a project...

Julian Lennon - Lead Vocals Sean Lennon - Piano Dhani Harrison - Rhythm Guitar Zak Starkey - Drums

They just need a bass player and they'll have a complete band. It could be interesting. Does McCartney's son play bass?
