I always thought Schroeder was an excellent actor as a child and still pretty good as an adult. Haven't seen him in anything lately. Up until the late nineties, it seemed like he was everywhere.

R17 Cobra Kai is very popular and introduced Macchio (and Zabka) to a younger generation of fans. It's similar to John Wick and the memes introducing Keanu Reeves to a young generation.

Schroder is a weird case because he actually transitioned well into adult roles. He was handsome and had acting talent. I just thought it was a strange comparison. Ralph Macchio didn't really make a successful transition to stardom in adult roles after the Karate Kid franchise, and now he has made a comeback on a TV show. Keanu Reeves is a movie star, has had some career lulls but has had some major movie success as an adult.
