She has a glass eye. What more do you want?

There was a crop of blonde pixie-haired dancers in the late 1960s early 1970s. She was one of these. For years as a kid I thought she and Sandy Dennis were the same person. Obviously nothing could be further from the truth!

Wonderful on stage. Lots of failed sitcoms with her biggest hit being The Hogan Family which I’m sure gave her a nice nest egg. Hubby is former dancer turned successful realtor. Two sons. One is family. Anything else?

R3 Any pictures of the one that is family?

Why didn’t the show become Sandy’s Family?

When I was a child I found a blue marble in our backyard. My dad told me it was Sandy Duncan's glass eye.

I’m surprised she never got a tie in cross marketing campaign with Dunkin Donunts?

I never understood her appeal until I saw her on stage. I saw her play Roxie Hart in Chicago by accident.

I thought I was waiting in line to buy a rush ticket for Charlotte D'Amboise's last performance during what turned out to be her first of many runs as Roxie. While in line, I found out that Charlotte's last performance had already taken place the night before. To my horror (Mary!), I discovered that I was waiting in line to see Sandy Duncan's first performance of Roxie and was surrounded by Sandie Duncan fans. It could have been the beginning of a horror film, but it wasn't.

Long story short, I was blown away. Sandy Duncan was amazing. Sandy Duncan was in her 50s, and she still danced her ass off.

Here's a clip of Sandy dancing the Varsity Drag.

I always got Sandy Duncan and Sandy Dennis mixed up.

by Anonymousreply 13November 13, 2020 4:24 AM

One of them could act, R13.

I don't get Sandy Duncan either, but props to her for being able to dance like that in a large group without proper depth perception.

So did I. Sandy Duncan punched me back.
