Anthony Anderson Scandals
I'm reposting this from the "Central Casting" thread, where it will probably be buried.
Did anyone else know about these allegations agains Anthony Anderson? One allegation may be a misunderstanding. Two... probably not, but still possible. But THREE allegations of sexual misconduct against him? Why is ABC still employing him during these supposedly "woke" times?
From Wikipedia: Anderson was accused of raping a 25-year-old extra in a trailer on the film set of Hustle & Flow on July 27, 2004. The alleged victim accused Anderson and assistant director Wayne Witherspoon of forcibly removing her clothing, photographing her naked body, and digitally penetrating her. A witness claimed to have heard the alleged victim's screams and to have seen her run naked from the trailer, and she was treated at St. Francis Hospital. The charges were dropped on October 6, 2004 because the judge ruled that there was no probable cause to try the case. ... Anderson was sued for sexual assault in September 2004 by another woman who claimed that Anderson made sexually suggestive remarks and then assaulted her in his dressing room on the set of All About the Andersons... On July 20, 2018, it was revealed that he was being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department for another sexual assault allegation. On September 4, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office decided not to press charges against Anderson due to lack of evidence.

I vaguely remember there was a bit of controversy around the time of the first transformers movie in 2007 and then he sort of disappeared for a while before Blackish brought him back in the mainstream.

What crimes did this person commit?
Word-Crime? Thought-Crime?
Erect-Penis-Crime? Semen-Crime?

I thought he was gay, too, R3. But why would three different women claim that they were assaulted by a gay man. Weird. Until now, I always assumed he was a gay mama's boy, with his mama always popping up on his game show and all.

"Digitally penetrating?" Then it wasn't rape-rape.

We've had a poster here who worked on Law & Order in production and said that he and his pals he brought on set were rude, demanding and generally insufferable. It is curious that he keeps getting off and getting work.

It's weird that none of this was brought up during all of the #MeToo hysteria a few years ago. Why did Anthony get a pass? ABC/Disney seems all too happy to sweep this under the rug. What's so special about him? He's not that talented or funny. Must be something else.

It's not like he hit on some straight guys or something. That would be unforgivable.

Because he was the PRed beyond belief, nice, unthreatening black guy who hosted "Carnival Eats" on Food Network.
I suppose he and his posse were clever to use this as a dodge between L&O SVU and the later the mothership where he solidified his reputation as "nice." Which we've all come to know he is not.

I can’t forgive him for forcing Mama Doris on us. Enough of this bitch.

Were the women paid to retract their stories? Is that why police dropped the investigations every time? Or did the police just not care and the stories didn't go viral, so they got away with it?

he's on film saying: 'When I say suck my dick, you ask 'you want me to lick your balls too, daddy?'"

I think his name was mentioned. And there have been threads on here before about his behavior.

He is a terrible actor. I keep hoping Blackish gives his character an early death and his Mom and Pop take over.
He does come across as a big queen.

he's got all this success and seems so unhappy; his rant at the Emmys...yikes.
I get the feeling he could win the Best Actor in a Comedy for the next two years and he'd be like 'and Michael J. Fox got THREE?'

I have no idea who this is, who the women are, whether it's likely that he's gay, straight, bi, rapey or anything else about this person and his situation.
It's a non-event.
Fail, OP.
