I watched FATAL ATTRACTION last night for the first time (Amazon Prime). She is passable at best (the role is ridiculous, anyway).
Somehow she snagged an Oscar nom for it.

I I thought she was great looking and understood her role in Fatal Attraction was to be the hot wife to take away the idea men cheat because their wives aren't hot or the side piece is hotter. Her whole look in that movie was fantastic for the time. But she also spoke in a baby voice and was cloying.

She was a supporting actress in her 40s: the only thing that could have sustained her career was a hit TV series. Without that, her career was always destined for the shitter.
