So PA will be announced by the end of the day? Maybe?

by Anonymousreply 5November 5, 2020 5:49 PM

R4 and get Perdue under 50%... it's still possible that Biden get over 300 EC votes and the Senate could be split 50/50 with Harris controlling it for Dems.

R11 I want GA, PA & NV!

by Anonymousreply 12November 5, 2020 6:01 PM

R6 are you sure that's accurate though?

At 50-50, Dems would have 48 members plus 2 members that caucus with them that do not identify as Democrats. Rethugs would have 50. Doesn't that mean because they have 50 actual members, Rethugs would still be the majority party?

When this is over, I never want to see Steve Korfuckingnaki ever again.

by Anonymousreply 14November 5, 2020 6:07 PM

Sanders and King bring the Dem Senate caucus to 50 if both Georgia seats go to the Dems. Kamala is the tie vote in that scenario, making the Dems the majority in the senate.

As mentioned in another thread, if Biden offered something to Pat Toomey and Richard Burr to get them out of the senate, it would help. Both are republican senators in purple states with a Democratic governor that will appoint their replacements, and both announced they are not running again in 2022.

by Anonymousreply 15November 5, 2020 6:08 PM

R13 The independents caucus with the Dems (Bernie is one of them, duh). There is no "rule" that says you must be a registered party member, it's whom you vote for and with.

Is the NC race all done, or can Cunningham still mathematically squeak it out over Tillis - I haven't seen any analysis of the math, or what type of outstanding ballots (mail-in, etc) are left in that race.

by Anonymousreply 138November 5, 2020 8:23 PM

Would someone mind sharing what Joe's saying? I'm avoiding media.

by Anonymousreply 139November 5, 2020 8:23 PM

He's just talking about making sure every vote is counted, and that they feel positive about where things stand. He is asking for patience with the process. Sounds and looks VERY presidential. Such a change!

by Anonymousreply 140November 5, 2020 8:25 PM

R129, I am not a Georgian, but I would think if Warnock would help push Ossoff to a win and vice versa. Especially with Stacy Abrams in the background. What she has been able to do means Dems should win in GA for cycles to come.

Ossoff one is going to be expensive and bloody -- and a question mark (for me at least).

I'm in Chatham County, Georgia (Savannah) and the comment above expressing surprise that we only went 60%/Biden - I'm actually surprised it was that high. Riding around in the past few weeks, Trump signs are EVERYWHERE. There was a sign on a highway leading into the next county that says "Only God and Trump can save our country" which just blows my mind. Yes we have a sizable African American population in the city of Savannah but all the other towns in Chatham County are overwhelmingly Republican.

On Sundays I play the piano and a buddy of mine from the local symphony that plays the violin plays with me in a church (little side job to make some extra $$$). He and I play the music then we walk out during the sermon and go to Starbucks then come back to play the final song. We were waiting to go back in this past Sunday and he pointed to some flyers in the foyer that were a "voter's guide" that was so obviously endorsing Republicans and vilifying Democrats. He was like, how can they get away with this shit? I absolutely believe churches should have their tax exempt status revoked.

Plus Trump served his purpose. There's no value to them of letting Trump rant to Tuck-Tuck about Biden. But if they let Tom Cotton or Josh Hawley do it, and then they get the nomination, there's a debt to pay.

by Anonymousreply 270November 5, 2020 9:28 PM

Joe’s very calm and very presidential comments were perfect.

1. He demonstrated the new administration’s coming covid competence while undermining Trump’s claim that covid is a hoax no one would mention after the election; and,

2. He underscored the importance of not fucking around with people’s votes.

Trump's lead in GA now down to 9,525 votes. It's just going to be super-close.

by Anonymousreply 280November 5, 2020 9:31 PM

r184, I think a lot of the difference between the presidential and Congress races had to do with Republicans voting for Biden but sticking with their reps and senators and Independents making choices also about the president that was different than their other choices. Most democrats when down ballot. Maybe not all in Maine but most did.

by Anonymousreply 308November 5, 2020 9:45 PM

NV have said Saturday or Sunday. Cunts,

Also, watching the presser with the Sec of Penn I noticed they tried a 'gotcha' because 4 years ago she tweeted something anti-Trump as a private citizen. Why do they assume people cannot leave their politics (or religion) at home when they go to work.

by Anonymousreply 309November 5, 2020 9:45 PM

I honestly believe that out of office for four years, no matter what his lunatic intentions about running again, he will seem increasingly like an easily mocked crazy uncle. by Anonymousreply 310November 5, 2020 9:45 PM

by Anonymousreply 336November 5, 2020 9:59 PM

I heard from a friend who has a pretty high ranking job in NV politics that the Republican Secretary of State there doesn’t want to deal with shit from Trump and the local MAGATS by announcing within a timeline that might mean her state “gives” Biden the 270.

Supposedly, she’s doing everything possible to leave that to another state just as R318 mentioned.

by Anonymousreply 339November 5, 2020 10:00 PM

There was actually an episode of VEEP which has exact same plot?

In the episode, Selina wins the popular vote, but still needs Nevada’s electoral votes to secure the election — prompting her to demand a recount in the state.

Selina plants protesters to either chant “count every vote” or “stop counting the votes,” depending on new information and whatever option would be more helpful to the campaign.

As it becomes clear that uncounted absentee military ballots will ultimately strip her from a win in the swing state, she switches up her strategy and orders her team to stop the recount. Here is the clip:

R332, Wasserman overestimated the size of the win for Biden & the Democrats like everyone else, but his state by state electoral map and predictions have been basically correct so far.

Eg. Wasserman's map had Biden losing Florida, but winning Nebraska -02, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and having a chance in Georgia.

This is almost over, the fat lady is warming up and getting ready to sing. I'm satisfied at this point, as a diehard political junkie and election-watcher of decades.

This was not a 'blow-out' for Biden but when all is said and done it is a full-on mandate. Yes, it is: he is looking to win the popular vote by a larger margin than Trump did over Hilary in 2016, and with similar narrowish margins than Trump did in the final swing states back in 2016 as well. If Trump and Repubs called that election a "Mandate", then this one also deserves that term. as well.

I don't care about losing a few seats in the House. The Senate is a MUST, for this to be a full mandate with teeth. All we need is to TIE that body at 50 - Kamala will be the tiebreaker vote there. That's all that's needed folks, you don't need more. Get it done and away we GO.

But if he needs more than one state to win, even his stooges on SCOTUS won't be able to pull off a 5-4 decision that fixes the vote one way in one state but another way in another state in such a way as to give him the win.

by Anonymousreply 457November 5, 2020 10:42 PM

The problem is that PA will close the gap w/o AZ, but GA will not. So Fox and AP would have to call the election if they call PA, unless they retract AZ. That leaves the other networks in an awkward position and requires Fox and AP to go out on a limb.

by Anonymousreply 458November 5, 2020 10:42 PM

Up in AZ by 65,000

Up in NV by 11,500

Down in GA by 9,500

Down in PA by 75,000

Down in NC by 77,000

Down in AK by 54,500

by Anonymousreply 459November 5, 2020 10:42 PM

More votes in from Philadelphia, Trump lead down to about 75K.

by Anonymousreply 460November 5, 2020 10:42 PM

So what Trump is going to say now:

On Fox News, presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway said Donald Trump is expected to talk about the “the state of the race from his perspective”.

Trump is also planning to speak about what he calls “suppression polls” which showed Biden leading in key swing states ahead of election day. Those polls made his supporters feel like his candidacy was a lost cause, the president has argued. The idea is entirely nonsensical – to the extent that polls have any effect on voter behavior, they tend to do the opposite – leaving supporters of the leading candidate feeling complacent, and motivating the supporters of the trailing candidate to show up and vote.

by Anonymousreply 461November 5, 2020 10:42 PM

A shred of evidence would go a long way, Mr. Cry-Baby president.

by Anonymousreply 529November 5, 2020 10:56 PM

I would give anything for Fox News to break into this and announce Biden has won Pennsylvania and the presidency.

by Anonymousreply 530November 5, 2020 10:57 PM

Get the HOOK and yank this ass off the stage ffs. What a major embarrassment. Suck it up and leave with some shred of pride.

by Anonymousreply 531November 5, 2020 10:57 PM

R521 Didn’t people get hospitalized with hypothermia at that rally?

by Anonymousreply 532November 5, 2020 10:57 PM

70 million people. 70 million voted for him. This country will never recover.

by Anonymousreply 533November 5, 2020 10:57 PM

Knowing how Orange can't stand to lose and nothing is ever his fault and he also can't shut up...

I'm waiting for the interview he gives where he says losing wasn't his fault because Daddy Put Put had promised him to fix the election for him again like he did in 2016 and he (Put Put) was "very weak," and didn't follow through.

by Anonymousreply 534November 5, 2020 10:57 PM

“Very strongly” 😂😂😂

by Anonymousreply 535November 5, 2020 10:57 PM

Malignant narcissistic sociopath. What a mess. Also seems like he’s on a good dose of Xanax. Sore loser. Everyone is always against him. He is always a victim. A cannot believe that this individual is/was President of the United States. Good riddance!

by Anonymousreply 536November 5, 2020 10:57 PM

So Trump is saying that upon seeing the polls look bad, his base had so little confidence in Trump, and so much belief in the "fake media" that they decided they wouldn't bother voting?

by Anonymousreply 537November 5, 2020 10:57 PM

"If you didn't vote for me it's ILLEGAL and you'll be sorry!"

[quote]Get the HOOK and yank this ass off the stage ffs.

Or just get the HOOK-er. Where is Melania, anyway?

by Anonymousreply 540November 5, 2020 10:57 PM

FOX NEWS really turned on him. While they are showing this in full, they now fact checking and have "shady captions". Air quoting the most ridiculous statements.

by Anonymousreply 541November 5, 2020 10:57 PM

I can't even be furious at him; he's so pathetic right now all I can do is laugh.

We will soon be RID of him, THANK GOD IN HEAVEN!!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 542November 5, 2020 10:58 PM

[quote]In his deranged mind he probably thinks by spouting about how the Rethugs kept so many of their other seats that it must mean there was voter fraud against him.

So he's arguing that the Dems launched a sophisticated fraud operation to target him but failed to stop Republicans from gaining House seats and retaining the balance of power in the Senate?

by Anonymousreply 543November 5, 2020 10:58 PM

R521 Pretty sure him telling MI he'd never come back to the state if they didn't vote for him sealed it for Biden

by Anonymousreply 544November 5, 2020 10:58 PM

Lies lies lies lies lies lies lies lies lies lies lies

by Anonymousreply 545November 5, 2020 10:58 PM

I blame Ukraine

by Anonymousreply 546November 5, 2020 10:58 PM

I hope he walks down a ramp soon.

by Anonymousreply 547November 5, 2020 10:58 PM

It’s astounding he’s trying to start the narrative that absentee ballots were created JUST for this election.

by Anonymousreply 548November 5, 2020 10:58 PM

Was it voter fraud or voter oppression because of fake polls, which is it?

by Anonymousreply 549November 5, 2020 10:59 PM

Is a suppression poll like a stripper poll?

by Anonymousreply 550November 5, 2020 10:59 PM

I stand corrected, r539

by Anonymousreply 551November 5, 2020 10:59 PM

R541 Murdoch knows Trump is going to be planning to launch a competitor to Fox, so he's trying to kill it before it's born. Plus, I imagine there's a lot of Republicans who'd work with Murdoch to help kill off Trump as any kind of kingmaker

by Anonymousreply 552November 5, 2020 10:59 PM

the real tell with Fox is how their worst hosts treat this. Even though someone like Brett Baier is a partisan hack, he's not a deranged psycho like Hannity, Carlson, Ingraham, Pirro, Dobbs etc. If those people start turning on him you know Fox is done with Trump

by Anonymousreply 553November 5, 2020 10:59 PM

Who wrote this dogs-breakfast of a speech? This is the musing of a madman!

If only the AZ officials said, 'We listened to you and stopped the vote. Biden has more votes at this time, so he wins. You're welcome.'

by Anonymousreply 558November 5, 2020 11:00 PM

He is claiming poll workers are in some conspiracy to steal the election for Biden

by Anonymousreply 576November 5, 2020 11:03 PM

He really, really can't even conceive the possibility that he might have LOST the election fair and square.

Trump needs to go from white house to nut house.

"What a sad night for the United States of America ... lie after lie after lie." -- Jake Tapper

by Anonymousreply 585November 5, 2020 11:04 PM

Threatens to take it to the Supreme Court.

All the legal experts I have seen interviewed over the past couple of days have emphatically stated that he hasn't got a legal leg to stand on.

I switched to Fox News now to see what those cunts will say about it. This will be telling.

by Anonymousreply 586November 5, 2020 11:04 PM

An important reminder as Trump continues to whip up his violent base:

by Anonymousreply 587November 5, 2020 11:04 PM

[quote] Like the goons in AZ bellowing 'Stop the Count'.

The goons in AZ were actually shouting for them to keep counting.

Meanwhile, the goons in PA are shouting for them to stop counting.

That's the official Trumpian argument right now -- keep counting in the states where he's behind and stop counting in the states where he's ahead.

Can we cut a deal with Trumpski? Cut off Florida with a big, beautiful tremendous wall and Florida can pay for it. All those Latinos who thought they would be under socialism can live under King Trump of Florida and his dictatorship akin to Thai monarchy and let everyone else heal their trauma and get on with it.

by Anonymousreply 608November 5, 2020 11:08 PM

Trump is so pathetic, acting once again like the victim. He claims to be the undisputed king of the United States, but his weak whimpering gives him away.

He'll never admit losing, he'll never ever concede. He's trapped himself into a corner that he can't buy his way out of.
