Are Rolling Stones songs and Scorsese movies inextricably linked?
I was cruising over the Bay Bridge Thursday afternoon and "Sympathy for the Devil" came on the radio. I was compelled to play it really loud & sing along while driving, feeling like I was in a tracking shot in one of Marty's movies, heading toward my violent denouement.
I dunno if I can listen to certain Stones songs without getting Scorsese visuals.

The end of Layla (Clapton) always makes me think of Goodfellas, Scorcese is great at picking music.

It's not a Stones song, but this one by Harry Nilsson makes me check the sky for helicopters.

"Can't You Hear Me Knocking?" makes me think of [italic]Casino[/italic]. But I wouldn't say it's Stones in particular that are linked to Scorsese. His musical choices are just so apt that almost all of them make an impression.
