Juan Diego Botto from "Good Behavior" (with Michelle Dockery).
The most beautiful man you've ever seen in film or onscreen

Bring your A game, Datalounge. BEAUTIFUL MEN ONLY!
|by Anonymous||reply 1||10/31/2020|
It's always some Bel Ami flavor of the month. The porn is tepid but the men can be sublime.
Juan Diego Botto from "Good Behavior"
always dark with a beard on DL
|by Anonymous||reply 3||10/31/2020|
Juan Diego botto is astonishing. He also does stage work. Swoon!
|by Anonymous||reply 4||10/31/2020|
Paul Newman in Cat. Most beautiful ever!
|by Anonymous||reply 5||10/31/2020|
"...in film or onscreen."
|by Anonymous||reply 6||10/31/2020|
Franco Nero was mighty hot in the '70s.
|by Anonymous||reply 7||10/31/2020|
I love him in the 1999 movie " I Will Survive" (Viviré) where he plays a young gay man who gets involved with woman.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||10/31/2020|
R6, onscreen meaning other forms of visual media (television, Netflix, etc.) Basically anywhere onscreen.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||10/31/2020|
Cue the tiktok crazies.
|by Anonymous||reply 10||10/31/2020|
Juan Diego Botto was preternatually beautiful when he was younger. Intact dong under thick dark bush is also a plus.
|by Anonymous||reply 11||10/31/2020|
Casper Van Dien was gorgeous.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||10/31/2020|
Autographed and stunning.
|by Anonymous||reply 13||10/31/2020|
Delon in Plein Soleil is aways the correct answer.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||10/31/2020|
R13, very beautiful
|by Anonymous||reply 15||10/31/2020|
R14 Great movie. Had read book long ago, and then there was re-make, but this original film stands the test of time.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||10/31/2020|
R14 reminds me of a very young Brad Pitt
|by Anonymous||reply 17||10/31/2020|
Brad Pitt...Legends Of The Fall.....the end
|by Anonymous||reply 18||10/31/2020|
Robert Drivas in 'Where It's At' could get it. Seconded only in my book by Jude Law in 'The Talented Mr. Ripley'.
|by Anonymous||reply 19||10/31/2020|
There can't have been many dry seats in the theaters when Gregory Peck first showed up in DAYS OF GLORY (1944). Aged 28.
He was just stunning.
|by Anonymous||reply 20||10/31/2020|
Alain Delon back in the day. That face and hair!
|by Anonymous||reply 21||10/31/2020|
Yuck! His face looks like a leather purse my grandmother threw away.
|by Anonymous||reply 22||10/31/2020|
Montgomery Clift, prior to the 1956 car crash.
|by Anonymous||reply 23||10/31/2020|
Alan Bates in...everything? Gorgeous face and I loved his body—natural, masculine, fit, but also not deprived of good food. I’m grateful his beautiful, beefy bum has been preserved in several films.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||10/31/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 25||10/31/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 26||10/31/2020|
Alexander Skarsgård in everything. Most beautiful man of all time.
|by Anonymous||reply 27||10/31/2020|
Jon Eric Hexum. I don’t even like white guys all that much but he makes mama’s mussy SQUIRM.
|by Anonymous||reply 28||10/31/2020|
r9 - I was just pointing out that you were covering all the bases simply with...onscreen.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||10/31/2020|
A young John Stamos. I dated a guy in Boston that looked just like him, his name was John as well. There were a lot of guys that were Portugese, Greek and Italian that lived just outside the city that were breathtakingly beautiful- that dark, swarthy look with delicate features, dark hair and pale skin.
I married one too.
|by Anonymous||reply 30||10/31/2020|
Mr. George Maharis
|by Anonymous||reply 31||10/31/2020|
Rupert Graves in "Maurice." Just breathtaking.
Runner up is Aldis Hodge is "What Men Want". He looks really hot with a beard.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||10/31/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 33||10/31/2020|
There was a guy in NYC club scene in the late 90’s that was so breathtakingly beautiful I couldn’t look at him. I went to Twilo and saw him across the dance floor the first time and had to look away he was so beautiful. I had come with a boyfriend and quickly forgot all about him, making excuses to go back over and peek at the other guy. That relationship didn’t last much longer after that.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||10/31/2020|
R30, "ironically", I like Stamos better now. Hot middle aged man. Looks like he has good breath.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||10/31/2020|
Christopher Reeve (in Superman)
|by Anonymous||reply 36||10/31/2020|
Delon is always one of the most mentioned in these discussions (Newman, Peck et. al.). And he is beautiful... but half of it is his hair. Wish I had (wish I had had) his hair.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||10/31/2020|
agree about Delon
|by Anonymous||reply 38||10/31/2020|
Maxwell Caulfield then I got to see him nude on stage. Sigh.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||10/31/2020|
It got rather old, night after night, r39. Nah, who am I kidding?
|by Anonymous||reply 40||10/31/2020|
Helmut Berger was a looker!
|by Anonymous||reply 41||10/31/2020|
He wasn't conventionally beautiful but I really loved the boyish looks of Oskar Werner.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||10/31/2020|
Marco Dapper in Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds.

Patrick Wilson in Angels In America.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||10/31/2020|
Cary Grant in “Notorious”. And Brad Pitt in “ Legends of the Fall”
|by Anonymous||reply 46||10/31/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 47||10/31/2020|
John Rocklin in Splash Shots 2.
|by Anonymous||reply 48||10/31/2020|
Diego Boneta from Terminator Dark Fate.
Too bad the film was feminist garbage.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||10/31/2020|
Delon in Plein Soleil is aways the correct answer.
R14 Agreed. Delon was beautiful.
|by Anonymous||reply 50||10/31/2020|
R40 What is that? Looks wonderful!
|by Anonymous||reply 51||10/31/2020|
Mexican actor Jorge Rivero - perfect face, perfect bod.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||10/31/2020|
Ben Browder from the mid 90s to the mid 2000s.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||10/31/2020|
steve reeves.... jon erik hexum...guy madison... clint walker....
|by Anonymous||reply 54||10/31/2020|
Chad Everett in every tv/film he ever made. Perfect till the day he died, YUM!
|by Anonymous||reply 55||10/31/2020|
James Garner. Beautiful.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||10/31/2020|
Say what you will about his aging, his look, his acting, etc., there was nobody who had more masterful love affair with the camera in his early years than Daniel Day-Lewis.
|by Anonymous||reply 57||10/31/2020|
As a kid, I thought Peter Barton (The Powers of Matthew Starr) was the most beautiful man on TV.
|by Anonymous||reply 58||10/31/2020|
Rupert Everett - in his prime.
|by Anonymous||reply 59||10/31/2020|
Brando was more handsome than Delon but I nominated Delon because the criteria was "beautiful". I'm not a great fan of Delon the man or the actor (over age 40). Brando had a delicateness and prettiness in his face and even his movements, I will agree, but mostly he was handsome and had an animal masculinity. And that body. Sometimes its about the roles. Delon was slight, small, but had the panther presence, and you could see the street thug/hustler peeking out. Comes together beautifully in some of his early roles such as Plein Soleil and Rocco. His face was good for the camera - it had different shapes and moods defending how it was captured.
|by Anonymous||reply 60||10/31/2020|
R60 I know most of the world doesn't agree with me, but I never quite understood those who thought Brando was the most beautiful man alive. He had magnetism, clearly. But his face always looked incomplete, too rounded... like it had been taken out of the mold too soon and melted a bit.
|by Anonymous||reply 61||10/31/2020|
R61 Great description. Paul Newman's face seemed more complete.
|by Anonymous||reply 62||10/31/2020|
Exactly, something "refreshingly" sexy about Newman's crisp and youthful bones.... Harris Dickinson is the actor currently who has that quality... but needs just a touch of pain and darkness to add to the "pretty" he's been given. Newman had both.
|by Anonymous||reply 63||10/31/2020|
Karl Urban as Billy Butcher
|by Anonymous||reply 64||10/31/2020|
Millions of actors on the last 50 and no one has been able to match Alain Delon’s beauty in his prime.
|by Anonymous||reply 65||10/31/2020|
R63 Harris was striking in that movie.
|by Anonymous||reply 66||10/31/2020|
In the last 50 years*. R65 here. Sorry for the typo
|by Anonymous||reply 67||10/31/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 68||10/31/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 69||10/31/2020|
Wallace Reid in the Golden Chance (1915)
|by Anonymous||reply 70||10/31/2020|
He looks like Delon in that pic!
|by Anonymous||reply 71||10/31/2020|
Meant for R69!
|by Anonymous||reply 72||10/31/2020|
Among mainstream movie and TV stars, Hexum has to remain my number-one choice. Among porn stars, it would probably have to be this guy, Rex Chandler.
|by Anonymous||reply 73||10/31/2020|
Sterling Hayden in Bahama Passage.
|by Anonymous||reply 74||10/31/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 75||10/31/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 76||10/31/2020|
The 1980 Timothy Dalton as Prince Barin in [italic]Flash Gordon.[/italic] For some reason, that sheer magnetism didn't come off in any of his other films, including the James Bond ones. This clip might also be of interest to any S&M aficionados amongst us.
|by Anonymous||reply 77||10/31/2020|
R74 Sterling Hayden! Yes! He was gorgeous, great face and body. Plus, he lived an interesting life which makes him even more beautiful.
BTW, he's on TCM right now in Dr Strangelove. Not his greatest role but he's still gorgeous.
|by Anonymous||reply 78||10/31/2020|
Wow, nothing for Robert Redford. In the 70s, he was THE heartthrob.
|by Anonymous||reply 79||10/31/2020|
R79 Redford was a bump in the road regarding beauty, similar to Brad Pitt. Pretty for a minute, not beautiful.
|by Anonymous||reply 80||10/31/2020|
Redford had terrible skin. He was handsome though.
|by Anonymous||reply 81||10/31/2020|
I love Sterling Hayden as an actor, r78, but he was never as beautiful as he was in BAHAMA PASSAGE, in which he ran around shirtless in white shorts. He was breathtaking.
|by Anonymous||reply 82||10/31/2020|
R82 Sterling Hayden all the way. Beautiful body.
I loved/hated him in The Godfather. He was still BDF but such an evil fuck. I cried when Michael shot him in the restaurant and I know that was wrong.
|by Anonymous||reply 83||10/31/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 84||10/31/2020|
Chris O’Donnell in the 90s was hard to beat.
|by Anonymous||reply 85||10/31/2020|
R68 - Hart Bochner was especially attractive in Apartment Zero.
|by Anonymous||reply 86||10/31/2020|
R85 I waited on Chris O’Donnell in the early 90’s at Joe’s bar and grill on Newbury St. in Boston. He was absolutely breathtaking to look at.,
|by Anonymous||reply 87||10/31/2020|
Mel Gibson early 80s (Year of Living Dangerously, Gallipoli). Both pretty AND masculine. Perfection.
|by Anonymous||reply 88||11/01/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 89||11/01/2020|
Alain Delon was a very small man in stature. His body was nothing to write home about same as Paul Newman. I think beautiful men need to look like men. They need to have a masculine body and some kind of height.
|by Anonymous||reply 90||11/01/2020|
I would say Robert Redford was a very handsome man in his prime. And I still think Brad Pitt is sexy....
|by Anonymous||reply 91||11/01/2020|
When I think of beauty, this boy always comes to mind...Taylor Lautner.
|by Anonymous||reply 92||11/01/2020|
R90, Your definition of "beautiful" is unusual, in that "masculine" is not a synonym. A "masculine-looking" woman, for example, would not be immediately thought of as "beautiful."
|by Anonymous||reply 93||11/01/2020|
Speaking of Italian beauties, R7 - Terence Hill/Mario Girotti was spectacular when he was young.
|by Anonymous||reply 94||11/01/2020|
R94... he has that steve reeves type look in that photo...
perhaps we need to distinguish between a beautiful man and a beautiful boy everyone? masculine handsome vs pretty boy? height and body as well?
|by Anonymous||reply 95||11/01/2020|
Rod Taylor in his prime.
“The Time Machine.”
|by Anonymous||reply 96||11/01/2020|
Yes, r95! _ Because after Delon, I would say young Leonard Whiting!
|by Anonymous||reply 97||11/01/2020|
What about a *handsome* woman, r93?
|by Anonymous||reply 98||11/01/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 99||11/01/2020|
Kim Rossi Stewart, he's up there with Alain Delon.
|by Anonymous||reply 100||11/01/2020|
I'm partial to Brian Aherne.
|by Anonymous||reply 101||11/01/2020|
Ryan Zane in the ChiChi Larue remake of “The Back Room”.
|by Anonymous||reply 102||11/01/2020|
R90, masculine is an adjective that is usually reserved to describe a man. A man that is shorter and smaller in stature can look more feminine overall. And he must have a well defined faced with preferably chiseled features. He must also have a beautiful face ....square jaw and cleft chin are a plus.... along with a tall well proportioned body....think Cary Grant.
|by Anonymous||reply 103||11/01/2020|
Then ya got yer joli laid....
|by Anonymous||reply 104||11/01/2020|
R90 I think Chad Everett....perfect as you described
|by Anonymous||reply 105||11/01/2020|
Chad Everett was like Naugahyde upholstery. I never got the attraction. Very young, he was pretty. But by his mid-20s, nah...
|by Anonymous||reply 106||11/01/2020|
Marlon Brando in a Street Car Named Desire was so damn sexy.
|by Anonymous||reply 107||11/01/2020|
Brad Pitt in Fight Club was his sexiest to me.
|by Anonymous||reply 108||11/01/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 109||11/01/2020|
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
|by Anonymous||reply 110||11/01/2020|
So glad two people mentioned silent screen star George O'Brien--absolutely gorgeous in "Sunrise"--and the young Brian Aherne. They're rarely mentioned, and they both beautiful men.
And Ramon Novarro was breathtaking.
|by Anonymous||reply 111||11/01/2020|
Juan Diego! I don't know if I'd call him beautiful, but oh darlin', worthy of El Greco! (fans self with his Tennessee Williams fan).
|by Anonymous||reply 112||11/01/2020|
And the bod, r111....
|by Anonymous||reply 113||11/01/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 114||11/01/2020|
Robert Donat had beautiful eyes...
|by Anonymous||reply 115||11/01/2020|
R102 - OP said BEAUTIFUL, NOT Walmart-esque good-looking, okay?
|by Anonymous||reply 116||11/01/2020|
Wait a minute, R94, isn't that Franco Nero in that photo? Sure looks him to me.
|by Anonymous||reply 117||11/01/2020|
I don't know who the actor is, but "Phaeton", i.e., the carriage driver, in A Room to a View is breathtaking. And he meets R103 's guidelines for masculinity.
Starts around 1:05 in the video.
|by Anonymous||reply 118||11/01/2020|
For a while, I thought Treat Williams was the most beautiful man on TV.
|by Anonymous||reply 119||11/01/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 120||11/01/2020|
I’d say Alain Delon
|by Anonymous||reply 121||11/01/2020|

In the younger generation, I find this Frenchie very handsome. Maxence Danet Fauvel. Plus, in a recent interview he said that he could easily fall in love with a man and that this has happened to him before but that nothing happened because he was suffering from sickly shyness.

Clearly the most beautiful man in the world is each person's choice but I'm all for Delon.
|by Anonymous||reply 150||11/02/2020|
Actually, I think Indian actor/model Upen Patel is the most beautiful man ever.
|by Anonymous||reply 151||11/02/2020|
|by Anonymous||reply 152||11/02/2020|
George O'Brien was absolutely gorgeous and proud of his nakedness.
|by Anonymous||reply 153||11/02/2020|
And a fucking good actor. Sunrise is breathtaking
|by Anonymous||reply 154||11/02/2020|
So much of it is lighting, angle, lens opening and age...
George O'Brien was not always pretty.
|by Anonymous||reply 155||11/02/2020|
Chad Everett is not hot! You might as well just write Lorne Greene.
|by Anonymous||reply 156||11/02/2020|
Theo james in divergent.
|by Anonymous||reply 157||11/02/2020|
Pretty pretty Warren Beatty
|by Anonymous||reply 158||11/02/2020|
James Wolk for me. The first time I saw him on screen, my heart skipped a beat. I'm not sure what it is about him, but there's such a kindness behind his eyes instead of that usually brooding or smarmy style the other guys in his generation seem to adopt. I find it irresistible and beautiful. Total husband material.

L of A era O'Toole
|by Anonymous||reply 160||11/02/2020|
R156 I beg to differ with you. Chad Everett was the hottest thing going in the 70s and as he aged he got even better! Did you not see him in Mulholland Drive! Yum....
|by Anonymous||reply 161||11/02/2020|
Morten Harket, lead singer of A-Ha. Gorgeous in the 80s and STILL gorgeous. Norwegian Wood, indeed!
|by Anonymous||reply 162||11/02/2020|
R155 That is twenty years later, numbskull.
|by Anonymous||reply 163||11/02/2020|
Chad Everett was hot til the day he died.
|by Anonymous||reply 164||11/02/2020|
And then he got cold...
|by Anonymous||reply 165||11/02/2020|

R170 Yes, Gorgeous. Died when he was only 44.
|by Anonymous||reply 172||11/02/2020|
Speak for yourself OP. He looks like the son of Brian 'Broken Nose' Williams, with a Halloween beard disguise...
|by Anonymous||reply 173||11/02/2020|
As I have said many times on DL, as we have this thread quarterly if not monthly, my grandmother always referred to Tyrone Power as "such a pretty man".
|by Anonymous||reply 174||11/02/2020|
Second, third, and fourth on Theo James.
|by Anonymous||reply 175||11/02/2020|
Chris Lowell in The Help
|by Anonymous||reply 176||11/02/2020|
Theo James looks like mad scientists and marketing experts created a pretty man in the test tube but some of calculation is off so it never flies. He was gorgeous very young, and I think he might improve again around 40-50. At the moment, its off. Oh sure, he's still very handsome but something isn't right about the proportions.
|by Anonymous||reply 177||11/02/2020|
so many good choices, Theo James, Paul Newman, Paul Walker, or AJ:

Keanu Reeves in Point Break. This is the film where both gay men and straight women shouted "FUCK ME!" at the screen (or secretly wanted to) whenever Keanu is gracing the screen with his hot presence. There is not a movie with this sort of male beauty worship, both face and body, in the history of cinema. Not one bad angle or shot of this beautiful man at peak hotness. Go check out these gifs and tell me this isn't true.
|by Anonymous||reply 194||11/02/2020|
Probably some hip straight men thought "I'd do him" too.
|by Anonymous||reply 195||11/02/2020|

Well, the thread was worth it to bring Theo James to my attention. Certain there is a "type" I find really beautiful that James fits into perfectly Paul Newman, Harris Dickenson.
And again, I'm confused by the number of folk in these threads who always hyperventilate about Chad Everett. Thick... mentally, waist, neck, skull....puffy from drink and bad food... always looks like he has bad breath.

Harrison Ford- All the way back from his younger days up until 1989. Just something about him including his devastating physical beauty turned me on, especially the "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" era. I've told this story before, but at five years old, seeing Ford as Han Solo in the original "Star Wars", I knew I liked guys. Then around the time of "Working Girl", I saw an interview where he ran his hand over his head, smiled, and said, "I know. I'm a good looking son of a bitch aren't I?" It wasn't a joke. The arrogance! I was done. Of course, now he looks like a reanimated corpse thanks to age, drinking, and a bad attitude, but I still love Han and Indy.
Recent men, I'd have to say Henry Cavill- He's very nice to look at, and I just enjoy him for that.

There are two guys I can think of that took my breath away when I first saw them on screen.
One of them was already mentioned above, the guy from "Cinema Paradiso".
The other was also Italian, Valerio Foglia Manzillo.
He was a model who made a few movies in the 2000's. The one I first saw him in was "L'imbalsamatore", in which he plays a dumb, clueless hunk who gets targeted and preyed upon by an ugly, creepy older dwarf-like guy who becomes obsessed with him.
I normally don't go for model types, but at the time I thought this guy was exquisite.

|by Anonymous||reply 224||11/03/2020|
John Gavin was married to actress Constance Towers (she of the perpetually evil and horny helena cassidine on "general hospital" soap opera)....
lucky lady! got to have gavin between her legs for years and years and on that soap opera got to play "make believe" in one storyline and episodes of trying to have blackmail sex with sex on a stick character jax jasper (the young ingo rademacher! major sigh!) ... alot of dirty innuendo talk, looks and making out between the two happened on that soap! ( too bad the two never had screw)...at the time? constance in real life was 67 (this was back in the year 2000) and ingo rademacher was ONLY 29! that's a 38 year difference! making out heavy with someone old enough to be his grandmother! so damn hot it was!...
and ingo back at that time was GORGEOUS!!!!..

R118 Yes, I felt a similar sensation.
It was a combination of 'Phaeton's insolent languorous beauty, the expectation that unconventional George would strip naked in the long grass (like Alan Bates before him) and the sound of Kiri te Kanawa's throat opening wide for that luscious Puccini.

|by Anonymous||reply 237||11/04/2020|
R237.. i'm sorry but no way, now how is browder REMOTELY on the level much less greater than jon erik hexum...
i like browder enough, but hexum was a walking wet dream in every way (that hair, that face, those eyes, that body, that deep voice, mannerisms, etc.)... hexum was so beautiful ("the making of a male model tv movie anyone!) that it "hurt" to look at him....
R231.. clint walker made rock hudson look like a pebble in "send me no flowers" with doris day...

|by Anonymous||reply 240||11/04/2020|
I looked up Jon Erik Hexum and went through a lot of his photos. My impression is meh, don’t get me wrong he’s handsome but in a generic 1990s catalog model kind of way. The deep brows/ low eyebrows take away some of his beauty as well.
|by Anonymous||reply 241||11/04/2020|
Perhaps not according to your taste, R238, but according to mine (which was, of course, what I'm posting about) Browder in his prime was the zenith of human beauty. Only British footballer Ben Cohen really comes close.

R330 Setting aside the racism of your comment for a moment, every time people talk about Asian eye shapes, I now think of Kirill Rubstov, a Russian actor who played Ivan Betskoy in the Russian "Ekaterina: The Rise of Catherine the Great" (available on Amazon Prime, in Russian but subtitled--it's very good aside from horrible CGI landscapes).
I wouldn't call him "the most beautiful man," but I found his features to be transfixing. His eyes are definitely asiatic and his facial structure looks Japanese to me, but he'd obviously be classified as Caucasian in the U.S.
|by Anonymous||reply 335||11/09/2020|

R338/Bootsy, her American accent is pretty good, as is the case with most Brit actors. Something about her reads British though. She's a good actor, Juan is OUTSTANDING and really elevates the overdone hit-man-with-a-heart material.

For a time, I thought this gay pinup model from the early 2000s was the most beautiful, but beauty is fleeing and so are tastes. After him, Ian Somerhalder was my fixation. At best, "most beautiful" people have a short window of deserving consideration and then their beauty gives way to an average looking person.
OR they die tragically and are remembered as a legendary beauty.
|by Anonymous||reply 351||11/12/2020|

|by Anonymous||reply 352||11/12/2020|

|by Anonymous||reply 353||11/12/2020|
Also thought the porn model "Chance" in the late 90s/early 2000s was "perfect" when I was a horny young thing. He's a beautiful creature but I don't know if I would consider his features to be "the most beautiful" today.
|by Anonymous||reply 354||11/12/2020|
I can't be the only one who has googled "most beautiful man" after reading this thread. The top results in Google images by far are Robert Pattinson and Ryan Gosling by far. Both are homely to me. Timothée and Bradley Cooper come up...I don't gwt either. Ian Somerhalder, Tom Hardy (from some angles) and Wentworth Miller's photos are mixed in and that's getting warmer for me.

Considering how horribly disgustingly obese Brando (and Elvis) got, he should not be considered hot. If you are only hot for a few years forget it. Plus he was a terrible actor, like James Dean, totally over rated.

Paul Newman had an extraordinary face, like something off of a Grecian coin. But he had a scrawny body, with skinny arms and legs.
|by Anonymous||reply 398||11/20/2020|
R398 Do you not think most of the ancients had scrawny bodies? There may have been some Olympian athletes who were bodybuilders, but they didn't have crossfit and protein shakes back then. They were either scrawny because they didn't have a ton to eat and had to labor manually, a little paunchy if they were older and ruling class, or else at best, younger ones might have been built like Michelangelo's David--who was more Paul Newman body than overbuilt Aaron Schock body. Sorry to disappoint!

This thread has convinced me there's nothing that comes close to "the most beautiful man." There are beautiful men, but none is flawless, and for every beauty that comes along, five more come around the corner and when you look back and the first, beauty has faded.

|by Anonymous||reply 407||11/23/2020|
Why'd this thread die out - did we run out of beautiful men? I just had this French actor pointed out to me - Louis Garrel. Beautiful? To me, he is. People were saying his nose was way too big - but I think it's manly. Google Image search shows many great pics of him.

James Mason in Pandora and the Flying Dutchman. Terrible movie, but everyone in it was so beautiful.

Marlon Brando in *The Men*.
|by Anonymous||reply 423||12/05/2020|
R421, I agree, Marsden is gorgeous. Strong cheekbones, great dimples and that nice thick head of hair. His only minor flaw are his huge ears. He usually covers them w/various hairstyles, but on occasion they've been seen catching a strong wind...

|by Anonymous||reply 428||12/06/2020|
R425 is he an actor in films?
|by Anonymous||reply 429||12/06/2020|
Troy Britton Johnson was a Broadway presence for a while, best known for THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. It was nice to see him mentioned here, even though he's not a TV or movie person and is therefore not known to the general public. He is/was really gorgeous and a very nice guy
|by Anonymous||reply 430||12/06/2020|
James Marsden was probably never more gorgeous than he looked in a TV series called SECOND NOAH, which was the first time I became aware of him. And P.S., I don't think there's anything wrong with his nose (or any other part of him) in these clips, though it's true, I have noticed his ears looking rather prominent when he has other hairstyles.
|by Anonymous||reply 431||12/06/2020|
I think Marsden is attractive but his features are all too close together to be beautiful to me.

probably meant for the handsomest man on tv topic thread, but i was just watching the other day re-runs of "knight rider" from the mid 1980's and i was struck by how pretty and handsome David Hasselhoff was! i never realized as i didn't pay much attention to that show or him back then.. stunning baby blue eyes, pretty pink lips,a perfect flawless tan on his flawless chiseled face, thick sexy wavy/curly hair and a nice hairy chest.. too bad he didn't age well even by the time he did baywatch...

The part of Phineas Bogg in Voyagers! was originally meant to be played by a mid-40s man.
There were so many script references to Jeff looking at Bogg as if he were his dad, that fits. But all that got changed to uncle (occasionally, 'son') because Hexum was in his mid-20s.

WHET Marc Singer? What a man and what a body. I even loved his flared nostrils.
|by Anonymous||reply 460||02/19/2021|
R460, I met Singer at Comic Con one year; despite the zillions of people there, there's a quiet autograph area in the center on a top floor of the convention center. He was there, quietly; signing autographs.
We had a nice talk about his time on The Young and the Restless; for some reason, perhaps because of his size and muscles, I expected an intimidating guy, but he was very friendly.
Don't get me wrong. They should all be that way -- but they're not.
