Since folks on the the banana thread have been clear about it being no place to talk about grapes, here is the place to talk about grapes.

As they are the source of wine, they are the single most important fruit in the entire world. 😂

Grapes are delightful. Haughty and a bit narcissistic, but delightful.

Grapes think they’re so great. Ha! Hardly.

Does anyone here have a recipe to make sour ones?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 30, 2020 2:57 AM |
People think lemons are the enemy of olives, but it’s grapes, I tell you. Grapes and their inexhaustible need.
Mind me, tend me, give me sunlight, that’s too much water! On and on, who could stand that? Not lemons, that’s who. Nobody needs to stomp a lemon.

They're not grape grapes.

Grapes (or raisins) are toxic to dogs - I don't buy them since I learned this (except for these mixed in Chicken Salad)
They cause renal failure in otherwise healthy dogs
As few as 2 or 3 grapes can kill a 50 lb dog

Your grapes are, how you say, sour.

So chicken salad is an antidote to grape poisoning r17? Something is missing here.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 30, 2020 3:12 AM |
I used to buy grapes for snacks and appetizers for guests
But those grapes can easily be dropped on the floor and some guests might even unknowingly offer the grapes to our dogs- they're notorious for begging for food
I just don't buy them anymore or keep them in the house since I learned how toxic and deadly grapes/raisins are to dogs
I meant to say - I still buy chicken salad made with grapes, because I can be more sure about keeping that from them - but otherwise, I don't keep grapes/raisins in the house

Add one DLer and one married straight guy to an empty room. Add a couple of bottles of wine. Allow to macerate until the DLer's pants come off, then remove the straight guy.

I want to try that Spanish bar cake recipe for which you boil raisins in order to make the liquid to use in lieu of milk. Never would have thought of that.

I missed the Concorde grapes this year. They come into season around August. My own were eaten by bugs before I could enjoy them, so then I went looking for them at the grocery store, but I never found any.

Even the most innocent novice DLer knows you NEVER drain grapes
