Kevin Spacey flees to London to avoid Anthony Rapp's lawsuit

Not a Kevin Spacey supporter by any means, but this is a gossip rag that knows nothing in the real world and just stirs shit to generate clicks.

First, Rapp's lawsuit doesn't go away just because Kevin lives in London. They can proceed without Kevin and get a default judgement.

Second, Kevin always had a residence in London since he was hired by the Old Vic.

Third, its risky but Kevin's "avoidance" of the lawsuit might actually be part of his legal strategy. Instead of paying for a legal defense for a case he most likely won't win, he's going to wait for the default judgement. If the default judgement is affordable, he'll just pay it. If its too expensive, then he has a year to go to court & get the judgement vacated. All Kevin has to do is prove that he wasn't served.

With that said, its the responsibility of Rapp's lawyers to make sure Kevin gets served properly. Even if they can't serve him in the US, they can still serve him via publication in London (has to get judge's permission).

R2 - That was only due to the House of Cards filming but he's always had a presence in London. He attended many British events over the years.

But again, Spacey can't avoid the lawsuit, unless Rapp's lawyers are lazy & took his case because they thought there was going to be a quick settlement. The lawyers can turn to service by publication in both the US and in the UK.

He can kill Mr Rapp with kindness just as easily from London.
