by Anonymousreply 104October 26, 2020 10:30 PM

“Take Care”

by Anonymousreply 1October 24, 2020 12:54 AM

It's EITHER "Please" OR "Kindly".

by Anonymousreply 2October 24, 2020 12:56 AM

“Thanks in advance”

by Anonymousreply 3October 24, 2020 12:57 AM

R2 Ive seen them used together.

by Anonymousreply 4October 24, 2020 1:06 AM

"I'm aware."

by Anonymousreply 5October 24, 2020 1:07 AM

"Bless your heart."

by Anonymousreply 6October 24, 2020 1:07 AM

Be honest....

by Anonymousreply 7October 24, 2020 1:13 AM

“Thanks”

by Anonymousreply 8October 24, 2020 1:47 AM

Make sure

by Anonymousreply 9October 24, 2020 1:52 AM

Many thanks

by Anonymousreply 10October 24, 2020 2:17 AM

But of course . . .

by Anonymousreply 11October 24, 2020 2:20 AM

It’s ok that you...(fill in blank)

by Anonymousreply 12October 24, 2020 2:21 AM

No problem!

by Anonymousreply 13October 24, 2020 2:21 AM

Appreciate your help with this

by Anonymousreply 14October 24, 2020 2:23 AM

regardless of...

by Anonymousreply 15October 24, 2020 2:32 AM

I hate Trump but......

I didn't vote for Trump but....

by Anonymousreply 16October 24, 2020 2:37 AM

"Sorry I'm late, I tried to get here as soon as I wanted to..."

by Anonymousreply 17October 24, 2020 3:59 AM

Would someone please explain how any of these phrases are "passive-aggressive"?

by Anonymousreply 18October 24, 2020 4:39 AM

*per my previous email, attached for your convenience *

by Anonymousreply 19October 24, 2020 4:48 AM

“Whatever.”

by Anonymousreply 20October 24, 2020 5:03 AM

Thanks SO much

by Anonymousreply 21October 24, 2020 5:07 AM

What's for dinner?

by Anonymousreply 22October 24, 2020 10:07 AM

If you would be so kind.

by Anonymousreply 23October 24, 2020 10:17 AM

If it wouldn't be too much trouble...

by Anonymousreply 24October 24, 2020 10:40 AM

R3 wins

by Anonymousreply 25October 24, 2020 10:48 AM

"Kindly do the needful." which I get regularly from contacts in India. What an obnoxious phrase.

by Anonymousreply 26October 24, 2020 10:57 AM

Depending on the tone:

Have a nice day!

by Anonymousreply 27October 24, 2020 10:57 AM

Excuse me - Excuse Me - EXCUSE ME!

by Anonymousreply 28October 24, 2020 10:58 AM

I don't mean to be a pest, but.......

by Anonymousreply 29October 24, 2020 11:05 AM

Friendly reminder...

by Anonymousreply 30October 24, 2020 11:09 AM

Best,

by Anonymousreply 31October 24, 2020 11:20 AM

If you take my advice, you'll...

Don't take this personally, but…

You know what you ought to do, don't you?

by Anonymousreply 32October 24, 2020 11:27 AM

It’s amazing you’ve gotten this far. Kudos! And with only an Associate degree.

by Anonymousreply 33October 24, 2020 11:32 AM

Thanking you in advance for your cooperation.

by Anonymousreply 34October 24, 2020 11:38 AM

What R2 says. "Please kindly" must be something imbeciles say.

by Anonymousreply 35October 24, 2020 11:38 AM

I admire your lack of vanity.

by Anonymousreply 36October 24, 2020 11:41 AM

I would encourage you to..

by Anonymousreply 37October 24, 2020 11:49 AM

Just a gentle reminder...

by Anonymousreply 38October 24, 2020 11:52 AM

"Did you get a chance to ____ yet?"

by Anonymousreply 39October 24, 2020 11:52 AM

Have a GREAT rest of your day!

by Anonymousreply 40October 24, 2020 11:53 AM

I’m Sistine my boundaries now so I don’t have to tell you later.

by Anonymousreply 41October 24, 2020 11:53 AM

Ugh, the above should be sating, not Sistine. Fucking auto incorrect.

by Anonymousreply 42October 24, 2020 11:54 AM

[quote]"Kindly do the needful." which I get regularly from contacts in India. What an obnoxious phrase.

Oh, I also viscerally detest that one, R26. It usually comes with an overall faux obsequiousness.

by Anonymousreply 43October 24, 2020 11:54 AM

Well if you're happy wearing that, OK...

by Anonymousreply 44October 24, 2020 11:54 AM

[quote] Ugh, the above should be sating,

Psst.

by Anonymousreply 45October 24, 2020 12:15 PM

Per my previous email...

by Anonymousreply 46October 24, 2020 12:31 PM

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. (Get the fuck out of here.)

by Anonymousreply 47October 24, 2020 12:32 PM

***Second request***

by Anonymousreply 48October 24, 2020 12:36 PM

Can we agree to disagree?

HA, Ha, whenever some old Boomer tries to use that 80's self help catch phrase on me, my answer is always NO! It catches them so off guard.

by Anonymousreply 49October 24, 2020 12:39 PM

I'm sorry you feel that way.

by Anonymousreply 50October 24, 2020 12:40 PM

R38 & R44. Yes. Absolutely.

-R33

by Anonymousreply 51October 24, 2020 12:43 PM

That was delicious, I didn’t even taste all of that garlic. I’m sorry, I meant to include you on that communication. I’m sorry I’m late, there was a thing with the kids.

by Anonymousreply 52October 24, 2020 12:44 PM

I apologize if I offended anyone.

by Anonymousreply 53October 24, 2020 12:51 PM

10 items or less (fewer)

by Anonymousreply 54October 24, 2020 1:37 PM

Any email with a "read" receipt.

by Anonymousreply 55October 24, 2020 1:41 PM

^^Infuriating.

Though my current work email program notifies you the sender wants a read receipt and gives you the option of yes or no. I never send one.

by Anonymousreply 56October 24, 2020 1:44 PM

It's madame!

by Anonymousreply 57October 24, 2020 4:26 PM

Kindly do the needful

by Anonymousreply 58October 24, 2020 5:03 PM

Kindly do the needful is killing me!!!!! Never heard it before entering this thread.

by Anonymousreply 59October 24, 2020 5:11 PM

Just yesterday when I called someone out in an email - “Yes I know...” No bitch, YOU DON’T KNOW because you would not have asked that idiotic question. 😑

by Anonymousreply 60October 24, 2020 5:13 PM

Have a blessed day!

by Anonymousreply 61October 24, 2020 5:25 PM

It's not you it's me.

by Anonymousreply 62October 24, 2020 5:25 PM

[quote] Kindly do the needful is killing me!!!!! Never heard it before entering this thread.

Me neither.

by Anonymousreply 63October 24, 2020 5:55 PM

Kindly do the needful, quintessentially/exclusively Indian-English.

“Don’t take this the wrong way...”

by Anonymousreply 64October 24, 2020 6:07 PM

No offence, but...

by Anonymousreply 65October 24, 2020 6:49 PM

With all due respect...

by Anonymousreply 66October 24, 2020 6:56 PM

Much as I like you, I have to say...

by Anonymousreply 67October 24, 2020 6:58 PM

[quote]Have a GREAT rest of your day!

What's wrong with this one?

by Anonymousreply 68October 24, 2020 7:27 PM

It’s all in the tone, r68.

by Anonymousreply 69October 24, 2020 7:28 PM

"Thank you so much" instead of just "thank you." Gets me every time.

by Anonymousreply 70October 24, 2020 7:32 PM

R70 I say that and I really mean it. It’s where you are from in the world.

by Anonymousreply 71October 25, 2020 5:12 AM

Best,

by Anonymousreply 72October 25, 2020 5:20 AM

Some of these examples aren’t passive aggressive at all. You bitches are reaching.

Wishing you well, Dutchie.

by Anonymousreply 73October 25, 2020 8:03 AM

“Dutchie” was supposed to end up on the next line.

by Anonymousreply 74October 25, 2020 8:03 AM

Mr. Vice President, I'm speaking.

by Anonymousreply 75October 25, 2020 9:07 AM

Retweet if you agree!

by Anonymousreply 76October 25, 2020 9:35 AM

Uh huh...used by black women.

by Anonymousreply 77October 25, 2020 9:37 AM

“I’m not judging you...”

by Anonymousreply 78October 25, 2020 9:42 AM

You’re welcome to come too!

by Anonymousreply 79October 25, 2020 11:53 AM

"If it's not too much to ask.."

by Anonymousreply 80October 25, 2020 2:30 PM

“I need you to ....”

by Anonymousreply 81October 25, 2020 4:23 PM

R81 here's a more sinister one "I'm going to have to ask you to...." The speaker is displacing the authority... "If it were up to me, I wouldn't say anything, but I'm going to have to ask you to...."

by Anonymousreply 82October 25, 2020 4:58 PM

Far be it for me to . . .

by Anonymousreply 83October 25, 2020 5:13 PM

I hate to be a bother

by Anonymousreply 84October 25, 2020 5:13 PM

Do you think we could . . .

by Anonymousreply 85October 25, 2020 5:14 PM

When you have a moment, I need to have a word...

by Anonymousreply 86October 25, 2020 6:11 PM

I got a snotty email the other day from someone who was waiting 20mins to have a training session with me that their boss had cancelled with me but without telling them.

I wrote "I'm so sorry that your experience yesterday was so unsatisfactory, please see the appended email from your training department"

"Obviously, I am always delighted to learn with you but I do require a notice and invite from your company's training department to be able to attend the training session. Hope you're well!"

Of course I was absolutely fuming.. but passive aggression helped a bit.

by Anonymousreply 87October 25, 2020 6:17 PM

I didn't mean to pry...

by Anonymousreply 88October 25, 2020 6:49 PM

Enjoy!

As in," Enjoy the rest of your day" as muttered by cashiers regurgitating the script enforced by management.

by Anonymousreply 89October 25, 2020 7:02 PM

Let me add the cashier or store clerk saying: "Have a nice day." My response: "It's 10 pm."

by Anonymousreply 90October 26, 2020 12:20 AM

From my days as a reference librarian (and pre-Internet):

Patron : "I just have a quick question ..." Half an hour later ...

by Anonymousreply 91October 26, 2020 7:42 PM

R91 anyone who has a “quick” anything query is going to waste a lot of your time. I learned this in sales. Quick = RUN AWAY. Make an excuse if you have to.

by Anonymousreply 92October 26, 2020 8:37 PM

[quote] anyone who has a “quick” anything query

You could’ve made your point without resorting to slurs.

I mean, really, to call him query is just rude.

by Anonymousreply 93October 26, 2020 8:40 PM

Why are these all work related?

by Anonymousreply 94October 26, 2020 8:42 PM

"Might I suggest..."

by Anonymousreply 95October 26, 2020 8:50 PM

Just wanting to provide some constructive feedback...

by Anonymousreply 96October 26, 2020 8:51 PM

Thank you for your prompt attention. I look forward to your relply.

by Anonymousreply 97October 26, 2020 8:53 PM

Thoughts and prayers.

by Anonymousreply 98October 26, 2020 8:53 PM

Be blessed...

by Anonymousreply 99October 26, 2020 8:54 PM

Aw, ain’t you sweet.

by Anonymousreply 100October 26, 2020 8:57 PM

R93 Kindly do they needful and go fuck yourself.

by Anonymousreply 101October 26, 2020 9:12 PM

Bless your heart, r101.

Just. Bless it.

🙄

by Anonymousreply 102October 26, 2020 9:27 PM

Own it!

by Anonymousreply 103October 26, 2020 9:44 PM

Kindly omit flowers.
