R100 I'm not so sure George was ever straight. You can't believe everything he said as after reading several bios on him he contradicted himself fairly often. Others who knew him when he was very young recount his being in gay clubs clearly having sex with men early on. He took dramatic license with his uncle's suicide when he wrote about his death occurring on the day he was born. This is false. His uncle killed himself when George was six months old. He also didn't do it buy sticking his head in a gas oven but by pill overdose.
