Ms Nicks needs to write that book already. Names and cock sizes.

Boris is furious that he can't take away women's reproductive rights and we called him out for it on his Nicks-bashing thread:

Interesting and curious article OP, thanks for posting.
I do take note of the dismissiveness and condescension in your posting. It's kind of unnecessary. In fact, your misspelled swipe at Lindsey Buckingham makes you look kind of dopey, immature and uninformed, especially about Lindsey's contribution to the band.

She keeps promising (threatening?) to write that book. What is taking so long. It will go straight to the top of the bestseller list.

R4 he’s irrelevant

Stevie fucked guys to get them to make music for her. Lindsey was the first. Fleetwood Mac initially wanted Lindsey. Lindsey told them that he and Stevie were a package deal. She hasn't been able to sing for going on 20 years and a large part of her success was being a good looking white blonde woman and her fashion choices.

I swear all Stevie stans are 85 iq mouth breathers whose music depth is limited to soulless top 40 hits who like to pretend she was a hitmaker on par with Cher or Aretha. Stevie didn't even write her most popular solo single 'Stop Draggin My Heart Around'. Kate Bush did what Stevie tried to do 10 times better.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 20, 2020 10:21 PM |
Leslie or whatever his name is had no hits

According to spotify, Buckingham has writing credits on 3 of the top 10 most played Fleetwood Mac songs. Just because you drag queens keep playing Edge of 17 on repeat while everyone else has moved on form trashy 80s music doesn't mean it's iconic. Nicks solo has a niche appeal that has not aged well. People go to her solo shows to hear Gypsy and Landslide, not Leather and Lace.

Edge of Seventeen is iconic. Get over it.

R12 Maybe at Mickey's in West Hollywood but sophisticates appreciate real musicians like Christine McVie and not that trashy Disney princess who got her boof caved in by Don Henley AND Joe Walsh.

Stevie is like the old white lady version of an incel now. Booo hooo no one wants to fuck me.

Never saw the appeal of these people.

R17 Fleetwood Mac was a soap opera to rival Dallas. Lindsey and Stevie were both very good looking. Lindsey is an excellent guitarist, one of the best living. Christine McVie is one of the most underrated musicians of all time but she appealed to more serious people. Stevie is a ditzy blonde pop sensation who looked like jailbait into her 40s who sang about witches and faeries. They all appealed to different people.

They all like scuzzy early 70s London hippies to me.

R19 that was before Stevie came

R19 Lindsey cleaned up nicely. I remember seeing the Mirage concert on HBO as a teenager. He was wearing a very stupid tailored suit but his ass looked unbelievable and he obviously wasn't wearing underwear. It was a sexual revelation for me to say the least.

Both Stevie & Lindsay have outsized egos & are probably both insufferable.
Stevie used to be the breadwinner, got paid for house-cleaning while Lindsay stayed home, writing. I'm glad he was loyal to her when approached to join Fleetwood Mac.
I saw Fleetwood Mac in concert a long, long time ago. Stevie was drinking on stage from what looked like a Jack Daniels bottle. I do remember her twirling.
IMO, Stevie can't be objective enough to write a really good autobiography. Yes, it would be interesting to see the list of men she fucked, etc., but she would leave out anything that was unflattering to herself. She still blames her doctor for "making" her take Klonopin for several years.

R22 According to Keith Olsen, the owner of the house she cleaned and producer of The self titled Fleetwood Mac album, she was a pretty crummy cleaning lady. She also left his car in neutral and it rolled down a hill into another guy's house. Lindsey apparently was left some family money that he put into recording the Buckingham Nicks album so maybe he felt she needed to work while he didn't. It sucks that Lindsey made her work, but ultimately he got her into Fleetwood Mac. Stevie's dad did not support her vision and he cut her off financially. He was apparently a very conservative minded man (and extremely racist). Both of them came from very wealthy families. Neither of them actually struggled for real. I bet she wouldn't put that in her biography.

Stevie was from a comfortable family, but they weren't rolling in money.

R24 The only mentally ill ones are the Stevie worshippers. Have you seen her lately? She looks like Miss Havisham.

R27. He was on the board of directors at Greyhound and he spoiled her senseless.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 1, 2020 11:37 PM |
But he wasn't "very wealthy" r29. Business executives back then didn't make the millions they do now.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 2, 2020 12:03 AM |
He was what was considered 'upper middle class' in the 60s/70s/80s. He sat on several philanthropic boards in the Phoenix area, and spent his elder days golfing at the private Scottsdale Country Club.
I can't recall what Morris Buckingham did for a living, off the top of my head. But that family was also comfortably middle to upper-middle class.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 2, 2020 12:06 AM |
Yes, back then upper-level executives weren't millionaires like many are today. In fact, even "upper middle-class" back then wasn't what it is now.

R31 Lindsey's grandfather ran a coffee roasting business. Both of his brothers attended Stanford. His brother Greg won a silver medal in the 1968 Summer Olympics. He grew up in Atherton, CA, one of the wealthiest zip codes in the world. His upbringing screams WASP.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 2, 2020 12:13 AM |
Ummmm most people were upper middle class back then. Wages were made for everyone to live. That is what minimum wage was. The minimum wage one makes in their city/state that allows them to still be able to afford an apartment and food etc.

R34 Not true at all. The US has always had a huge wealth disparity. "The 50s were great" is right wing propaganda.
