The last skit wasn't great BUTT they made it funny. That's what a decent SNL show does. Adele's american girl accent going Na ah, was everything and Beck was hysterical. H.E.R was great, the best musical guest since Leon Bridges. The cast clearly worshipped Adele. Now that bitch has it ALL. Including Big Black Dick.

Ass Angel was boring and seemed like a filler. Adele was lovely, very personable and fun. But yeah, some of the material wasn't the best.

That was actually pretty good. The musical guest was decent. Adele was funny.

Adele was a B+ host. Very enjoyable and the Brits are always at their best when they make fun of themselves. The Bachelor was a nice surprise for a singer not a musical guest.

The 2019 Psychic skit was amazing. Spot on and scary. I really enjoyed Adele. I'm sure she does irl, but she didn't seem to take herself too seriously and actually looked like she was having fun. I loved watching her break.

I think the reason they used Maya Rudolph is because she has been asked to leave her home in California to stay in NYC and play Kamala for the first 5 shows of the season, which are airing on consecutive Saturdays, leading up to the election. Since there wasn't really a Kamala moment for her to portray this week (they already awkwardly shoved her into last weeks town hall ep), they used her elsewhere as Welker, which was more of a straight part that gave her no comedic opportunity. So they threw her a bone in a couple other roles, also adding a bit of comedic star power on a show hosted by a singer.

Adele breaking during the Africa vacation sketch seemed like she was trying to recreate the classic Debbie Downer / Lindsay Lohan break from years ago....Adele is certainly no Lohan, so it came off as forced.

You can't fake that kind of laughter and if she did, it made me laugh, She almost broke during the psychic sketch. Kate will write sketches and go over the top to make the host break, which I love.

Kate wrote this sketch where Larry David is an old lawyer who marries Cecily, this kind of gay club performer, f-hag extraordinaire.. Watching Larry break talking about thirsty bottoms at Club Power Bottom was hilarious. I love watching Kate just look at him as he can't control himself..

r199 The sketch was about white women fetishizing African men with all the basic tropes, "big bamboo," tribesmen, etc. It was like they were trying to get dragged on Twitter. And they would have had Adele not giggled through it. So I get the feeling they're asked to break when the producers know a sketch is particularly bad.

This week's show is 100 times funnier than that of last week. Adele is such a good actor, also much funnier than Melissa V.
