...how many people would show up at your funeral / wake? Either virtually or in person.
If you died today...

It will be identical to Annie's funeral in the movie "Imitation of Life" (1959 version)
I will let you do the numbers

I've told my family no announcements, no memorial, no funeral, no nothing. Cremate me and just go on with their lives.
When my mother died my daughter requested and I gave her a small sample of her grandmother's ashes. I suppose she will probably do likewise with me so that is probably as close to a funeral I'll have.

Why would you care how many people came? Do you imagine it is some sort of measure of how loved or popular you were? Is it a contest? He who dies with the most mourners wins?

My aunt (who was such an awesome, amazing lady) had a funeral at age 82 where it was standing room only. People had to stand out in the hallways.
Yes - she went out of her way to help people. She sent birthday cards like it was her job. I found her spreadsheet that she used - she sent out over 500 birthday cards a year (although it dwindled down to 430 as people passed on).
I remember going to the post box with her and wondering what the hell all the cards were for. But she never forgot. And believe it or not, her name was Ann also - like Annie from Imitation of LIfe.
I miss her and would love to talk to her just one more time.

Funerals and other death rituals are not for the dead, they are for the living. To each his own but my feeling is every life should be recognized in some way. Its important for those you leave behind. Unless you are a nasty cunt then in that case good riddance.

I’ve long thought my funeral would be as sparsely attended as Lee Oswald’s. But without the newsman as my pallbearers.

r2, I included both VIRTUALLY and in person.

I'd have clicked the no funeral option but there might be some busy bodies who hold one anyway. It happened to my uncle despite his having said no funeral. So I chose below 10 as I won't be around to stop anyone.

Probably between 50-100, but get this--only because of how popular and beloved my surviving husband is. It wouldn't be because of me, so much as people wanting to be there for him during his grief.

I did 51-100 because I've got a big extended family that attend funerals.

My relatives are all self seeking so although I have a large extended family, they won't attend except to look good and try to get something out of it. I don't have any friends either.

I donate my eyes, organs and body to various organizations so no funeral for me.
