Why?

by Anonymousreply 1October 16, 2020 8:15 PM

I've been to the Secaucus region - does that count?

by Anonymousreply 2October 16, 2020 8:16 PM

In the Caucasus all seems to breath freedom and peace and to make one forget the world and its sad turmoils

Are they white?

I've been to Georgia. I hated the drab cities but the wilderness is spectacular. I hiked through the Svaneti region and the mountains there are out of this world. And so are Georgian guys - I hooked up with a local hottie there (third base only); I checked out his FB profile recently and apparently now he's married with a small brat. That's the sad thing about those places - they're crazy homophobic so most of the local gays are pressured into marrying women and popping out a few kids.

This pic nicely illustrates how backward those places still are: when COVID-19 epidemic struck Tbilisi they had priests blessing the streets out of the car and trying to save the city from disaster! But the culture is still pretty fascinating; they have fabulous folk music scene there. I know the sound of Qartuli language is probably an acquired taste but I personally love it. Check out Trio Mandili. They're pretty awesome.

R5, how was the food? I've heard good things about Georgian food and wine.

Georgia is on my list of places I would like to travel to -- a shame about the antigay sentiment though.

Russian trolls are now preying to get us to travel to countries that want to kill us?

No fucking thank you.

by Anonymousreply 8October 16, 2020 8:50 PM

R4 ummm....where do you thing the word “Caucasian” comes from?

R8 you’re an idiot, plain and simple.

by Anonymousreply 9October 16, 2020 8:56 PM

I would love to visit the general region someday. R5 how cool!

by Anonymousreply 10October 16, 2020 8:58 PM

R9 name one of those countries where homosexuality is legal? And at least one of them have the death penalty for us.

by Anonymousreply 11October 16, 2020 10:03 PM

R7 unfortunately Russia dominates the region and has interfered whenever Georgia tries reaching out to the US/the west. If the US could just get something going with Georgia, I think some of the outdated ideologies would vanish over time
