Fuck! He left the various bleaches and toners on for "about an HOUR"!

That's a very good way to ruin your hair and make it snap off at the roots.

No R4, that's how long it takes to bleach from dark all the way to blond. Then there's usually lots or orange/brassy gold that needs to be toned out using a blue or purple based toner. That part is actually very gentle if you use the right products.
