Is experiencing good sex for the first time possible after 40?
While I've been sexually active since I was 18, I'm nearly 40 and have never, ever had sex that qualified as being good. I take full responsibility for my role in my lackluster sexual encounters. I was raised in a conservative Christian home and spent my 20s affiliated with the military during Don't Ask, Don't Tell. I hated being gay for the longest time and never felt comfortable whenever I broke down and hooked up with other guys. I also learned everything I know about sex from porn, so I've only gone through the motions of pleasing my partners without truly understanding what they like.
I want to experience, at least once in my life, good sex. However, as I get older I notice my libido gets lower each year and my options become fewer. Have my best years--in terms of sex--passed me by?

Yes it is, my friend. I’ve had some of my best sex after 40. Both as a top (mostly) and as a bottom It starts in your mind. If you can get hard and cum really good from watching porn, then that’s a start. You need to be able to experience it in your head first. If you reply to me I could answer some more questions. Honestly, OP, I would try with a professional. There's less pressure and emotions. I was away on a trip and hired a pro to my hotel room in Dallas and it was MIND BLOWING. Of course, this depends on the person you hire but thankfully the sites have reviews. I did this also in a European city and had an amazing time. Transactional can be sexy, fun and passionate too.
On the flip side, I have had some AMAZING, Caring relationships that were emotionally fulfilling but lackluster, or just average, sexually.

I was never much to look at and have a physicql disability so was left out of most of the USA sex scene. At 42 I traveled to Egypt and all changed. If it isn't working here perhaps you can throw a wider net.

Of course it is. What does age even have to do with it? As you get older you actually get less self conscious and insecure about your body in my opinion., and that’s a doorway to the best sex. It’s also largely a state of mind too, if you can relax yourself free of inhibition and really go for it, unleash that inner passion, you’d be amazed.
