I'd rather see this than Jurassic World 3.

I am definitely interested because I loved the first (not so much the second), but it's going to be a hard sell without Wickes, as she was the major comedic player in the franchise. Further, assuming that Smith is healthy enough to do it, one wonders if she'd really want to.

Smith always thought of those two as paycheck movies, but if the money's good, I don't see why she wouldn't want to do it. Maybe it can be a tear jerker where her character is dying and they need someone to save the church again and Whoopi brings the gals together again as a proper send off.

Sister Act is crap. Whoopi is vastly overrated as a movie player. As for TV, her role in Star Trek was a disaster.

It was corny, but lovable.

If they could have released this streaming during lockdown, they would have made a fortune.

What was the impetus for Whoopi pretending to be a nun in the second film? In the first, it was the murder she witnessed. I assume it was something similar in the second? I do wonder if the whole "I'm a nun, yet again" thing might be a bit weak in a third film? I mean, seriously, how any times is this woman gonna get in a jam and need to join an abbey to hideout?

The ghetto has been gentrified and she needs to teach the yuppies how to git down with da Lord or the convent gets turned into a restaurant and the school gets subdivided as condos. Seriously. That’s the plot.

Couldn't they just film the musical version?

Actors are not required anymore with their huge demands. It can all be done digitally and the studios are working on that diligently; if they can do Sister Act 3 without paying Whoopy great; otherwise flush it down the shitter as a money waster for elder gays in caftans who want everything for free.

Whoopi admitted she did 2 because she wanted to become the highest paid actress Hollywood. It showed. But that was decades ago. She hasn't starred in a movie in how long and the original is pretty much an after thought now.

I’m interested. Because I’m bored and there isn’t really much coming out and I think a more modern take could be pretty good. We really don’t have much coming out these days like this, at least none that catches my attention.

r26 Hocus Pocus having a sequel ? Really?

I thought the original was ok, but Sister Act 2 sucked.

The only thing that would make me watch either sequel is if star-fucker/Scientology schmoozer Najimy would mix up her characters and play the nun like a drooling lobotomy patient, and the witch like a giggly Taylor Swift fan.

They should do a prequel about young Deloris turning tricks with Buckwheat Bertha.

Sister Act 2 has the thinnest postage stamp of a script but it is one of my favorite feel good movies. It has a sweetness to it. I loved it in the theater when it first came out and today, too.

I was in the audience for Sister Act in the West End when Whoopi came out to perform in a few shows and saw Maggie Smith in the row in front accompanied by her ginger son Toby Stephens (hot as hell!!).

Will they be bringing back Maggie Smith for a big, dramatic death bed scene?

I guess I'm in the minority, I enjoyed the sequel more than the original. Lauryn Hill singing joyful joyful is a delight
