Watch "Spanglish." She's really that bad.

I agree, OP - she's average looking (for Hollywood), completely wooden and lacking in charisma. Is she a perv like ex-husband David Duchovney?

She got pushed hard for years. Several big movies, her own tv series, and the public just wasn't interested. I have no idea why Hollywood put so much time and effort into trying to make her happen. She was a real dud.

I loved her in FLIRTING WITH DISASTER, but have been pretty annoyed by her in everything else.
Now that I think about it, that movie is also the only time I've liked Ben Stiller as well.

I like her. There, I said it.
And I watch her every Christmas in "The Family Man," one of the very very few films in which I can tolerate Nicolas Cage.

Yeah, she's pretty bad. But, as long as you're watching Deep Impact, enjoy the really great job Elijah Wood does with his part.....

She's batshit crazy and easily kept up with Duchovny's kinks. In some cases she expanded them.
I once liked Ben Stiller in something called "The Zero Effect" but that's about it.

R6 yep Elijah Wood is impressive and cute too👹

In the 80s (or 90s, I forget) she was promoted as a “funny version of Sharon Stone.”
I remember an ad where her name was sung to the tune of “La Bamba:”. “Tuh-tuh-tuh-Tea Leoni! Her name rhymes with...” I forget the rest.

Am I the only one who thinks she and the actor who plays Ted on Schitt’s Creek look eerily similar? Dustin Milligan.

I think she has a lot of charm and Madam Secretary was a favorite show of mine primarily because of her and Tim Whatshisname who played her hunky husband. Her part in Spanglish was terrible and she played a terrible character.

Her biggest "achievement", if you can call it that, was ensnaring David Duchovny. At time time of their hookup he was a big deal because of "The X Files". After they got married she incessantly bragged about their fabulous sex life. In one particularly nauseating interview (I think it was in Moveline) she staked her claim on him ("I've got him") and bragged about how she got "honeymoon cystitis" from all the fucking they did. For any of you not knowing what honeymoon cystitis it, it's a bladder/urinary tract infection caused when loads of sperm are dumped into the vagina at a great rate. All that bacteria causes the infection. Since couples fuck a lot during their honeymoons I guess that's where it got its name.

Are these the products of David sperms and Tea eggs? They both got squinty eyes.

There's something about Tea's looks that if she suddenly announced she was a lesbian after all I wouldn't bat an eye.

The male offspring looks like Daddy. Poor kid. I always thought Duchovny was fug. I never understood the appeal of Tea Leoni, either. She has the face of a witch. And the personality of one too, so I'd heard.

I like her. Flying Blind was a college favorite on Sunday nights. Your loss.

R4, the entire cast of Flirting with Disaster was perfect. It’s one of the great underrated films of the 90s.

I couldn't stand her in the otherwise enjoyable Deep Impact, and she's also horrible in Hollywood Endings.

She has one of my favorite line readings in film history. For R17-
This is it. The bump and run!

They threw her in the ring at the same time as Jenna Elfman and that Caroline In the City actress.

When I think of Tea Leoni in Deep Impact, I think of MSNBC and how when the movie came out I had no clue what it was.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 3, 2020 1:34 AM |
She named her son Kyd. Very unimaginative. It's like naming your dog Doggo.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 3, 2020 1:38 AM |
My best friend hates Tea Leoni's open mouth stare, which, admittedly, is distracting when you think about it. So he won't watch anything she's in.
I like her and I like The Family Man, Madam Secretary, and Spanglish, all shows in which she was a lead. I did not like Fun with Dick and Jane. There is something pleasant about her looks, I guess, and her voice is nice.

I think Tea is dumber than she looks - which has served her well as an actress of very modest talent.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 3, 2020 2:32 AM |
I always thought she was so pretty tho. Like the definition of what pretty looks like.

Is that even possible?
