Melissa Francis

What is the tea on her? Her birth name is (was) Vini Melissa Ann Francis. She was an actress with some child roles and then fizzled out and landed as a formidable host on CNBC.

But lately she has gone completely nuts. Some of the stuff she says seems like she is delusional, or severely mentally ill but she is pleasant about it. She doesn’t seem schizophrenic but sort of pleasantly delusional and living in an alternate world.

A strange cookie, this one.

“She is reportedly the inspiration for the fictional character Avery Jessup (conceived of and played by Elizabeth Banks) in the show 30 Rock, although Banks herself has denied this.”

She needs a lithium drip before something bad happens.

by Anonymousreply 2October 1, 2020 4:37 PM

She also looks 20 years older all of the sudden.

Just a year or two ago she looked relaxed and refreshed.

Now she looks like a wrinkly old bag and it was literally overnight.

I hated that little bitch on Little House on the Prairie

I guess if you’re going to be an unabashed nutcase, you might as well be pleasant about it.

by Anonymousreply 5October 1, 2020 4:51 PM

I don’t know her.

Her mother was crazy. She wrote an autobiography that was mostly about how her stage mother mistreated her.

It could be genetic.

by Anonymousreply 7October 1, 2020 5:10 PM

But...she was a much better actress than the Greenbush twins. She basically was hired to read their lines while they were extras who were lucky enough to be in the opening credits of the show.

by Anonymousreply 8October 1, 2020 5:12 PM

Her memoir about Little House on the Prairie got an endorsement from Megyn Kelly!

She’s not nuts, but she’s definitely kooky and “odd”.

Here’s what I don’t get, how to do you get out of any school that offers an exceptional education, such as Harvard, and come out as a FOX News Personality, and how can you be intelligent enough to legitimately argue constitutional interpretation of personal rights and freedoms, yet be so obtuse as to not do so within the context of an unknown pandemic’s life-cycle in the year 2020, virology, public health & safety, and undermine the fact that this all fell upon the world, right at the time that America was to experience this under extraordinarily, exceptionally poor, deliberate, leadership, and perhaps even deliberately so, to the point of exploiting all levers and sectors of our voting mechanisms?

I didn’t go to Harvard. I am kooky AF, however, if I had, no way could I get on FOX and sound like I’m a FOX Republi-bot, under the guise of being an independent.

This isn’t independent thinking. Hey Twitter reveals she’s anything but an independent thinker, and it’s sad that she lost the opportunity to “think outside of the box” and still maintain common sense and rationale

Wear a fucking mask. Had the WORLD managed to say, “3 months no contact, and lockdown, stop. Assess risks and findings. Safe with masks, social distancing, and repeated hand washing and gloves? Press go. It safe? Wait. Repeat assessments, see if it is safe, it is? OK. EVERYONE wears the masks for 6 months to year.

This pandemic could have and should have been managed successfully. The solution were and remain SOOO incredibly simple, astonishingly simple, in fact, that even a set of trained monkeys could have done it.

This is what baffles me. How can you get into Harvard, and argue this? If everyone had worn a mask and gloves everywhere after being in lockdown for 2 months, world wide, with travel shutdowns, NOT restrictions, this pandemic would be done. A thing of the past and would pick off perhaps 100,00 at initial epicenters, GLOBALLY, not nationally.

How can you go to Harvard, get on FOX and Twitter, and use your constitutional rights arguments, when applying the facts and science?

I just don’t get it. Fuck, everyone’s gotta make a living and put food on the table, but being kooky isn’t this chick’s problem. She could have hustled that entire scenario by making her FACT based arguments on MSNBC, rather than getting on Twitter and arguing irrational shit about a mask, personal freedoms, & applying simple, inexpensive, virology mitigation as a successful solution by wearing a mask, instead of being a twat and hosting a show where some dufus tells viewers that young New Yorkers are missing out on “company culture” and learning shit from “older folks” who are supposed to NOT be there, because they’re at higher risk??? So you argue that younger people are now to step in and be the fearless warriors because of their alleged immunity or highly reduced risks of contagion and dying, yet you ALSO argue that their primary purpose, (to step in for us older folks), is also possibly enriched by learning the ropes of office politics, by us older workers, who are not supposed to be there, and are actually still working at home, via ZOOM, like they also, are?

My God. How can you have a degree from fucking HARVARD, BITCH, and sit there with a straight look on your face, while this guy contradicts himself and within seconds, destroys his own argument for returning to work, because he “forgets” to say: “But older workers are still at home and on Zoom”!????

I despise this. I really do. This is like saying that I can justify infecting you with HIV, by a) not disclosing to my sex partners that I have it, and not wearing a condom when we have sexual, because I have the constitutional right to privacy and it’s my constitutional right to do whatever I want with MY body, at your body’s expense.

Is she the one who sang "Where The Boys Are" or the one on "What's My Line"?

by Anonymousreply 11October 1, 2020 6:00 PM

Her FBN colleague, Maria Bartiromo, is another one who went from sane to crazy.

by Anonymousreply 12October 1, 2020 6:03 PM

Whew, glad r10 is here to tell us who’s nuts 😳

by Anonymousreply 13October 1, 2020 7:51 PM

Listen, I’m not nuts, R13, however, I know I’m sometimes right on the fucking edge, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Look, I am so rrational and sane, it turns some people off, but I’m also really bright and creative, and do think “differently” when attempting to explore and explain stuff I enjoy pursuing, including truth in media, political cultures through the centuries, as well as studying what is happening to our country, as well as our culture, currently.

We’re all fucking nutty right now. Not a bad thing. These are unique times and we’ve never seen this before. But every generation gets its challenges, and so far, we have managed to maintain actual constitutional democracy and norms thereof.

What we’ve not fixed nor have we truly accepted, and what I believe we must face and resolve, is the prevailing racism that Americans are just too stubborn, or prideful or scared of confronting.

If we can get over this and FINALLY treat our fellows as our friends whom we actually care for? We would be on our way to such an amazing world.

But first, we’re going to have to address our greed. If we cannot stop exploiting others, we can not manage climate change, much less have a world where we actually SHARE resources via trade agreements and protocols that make way for foreign policy that is progressive enough to insure a future that IS a global collective, because if your part of the globe dies, so will mine.

We have to get over greed. The continuation of playing stupid war games because we have exploited our birthright, Mother EARTH and all its residents through the ages, is so fucking shameful and sad.

What a waste. To have the privilege of attending such a great school, only to be offered a job at FOX. News, where one offers real people who live in the real word, watching you on real tv, via real airways, FAME NEWS, that can eventually kill them.

ANYTHING can and eventually will kill us. It is the lying that is unforgivable. And it is not even necessary anymore, because the truth is, that if the United States could FINALLY free itself of religion, and turn its sights on science and tech? Man, we could join the rest of enlightened Europe and give everyone healthcare and free schools.

You don’t have to get a degree from Harvard to do this, but maybe you do have to be fucking nuts to do graduate from ANY school, and end up selling advertisement slots by lying to the point where you harm innocent and vulnerable Americans who were hoping you’d do better with your Harvard or any college, degree.

Why are these educational institutions even valuable, if all you’re gonna do is graduate and become a fucking clown on television who panders for your money, by performing cheap tricks? Cheap tricks are awesome if they don’t end up killing over 250,000 Americans! Any old homeless person can do them on the corner of Hollywood and Highland, with nothing but a huge bucket for quarters, a deck of cards, and a sincere smile on his face!

Isn’t it time to reassess the direction of one’s life, when what one says every day, does not line up with the TRUTH, SCIENCE, and DATA that backs up the facts one dispenses, because the sciences proves it?

You are living in a non factual, non evidenced based alternative world, when you get on national television, and tell people that America needs to embrace a quick return to work, when your arguments are based on fallacious and illogical statements that people are worthy of not having to hear, ESPECIALLY when the lie can actually kill someone, and it didn’t have to happen, if the network told their audiences to buy a 99 cent mask.

99 cents for a life. Who’s fucking crazy?

We have forgotten what real human decency is and I’m not too sure if ever even knew what the hell that actually is.

I’m not crazy. I’m honest and that, dear Sir or Madam, is something I didn’t learn to become, at Harvard. Nor did I have to go to Harvard to know that the sooner I got a few hundred of those 99 cent masks and wear them, the better.

🤪🖕🏽🤪

Well, we are not going to miss you, Melissa.

Questions over the future of Fox News host Melissa Francis have been raised after she reportedly filed a gender pay gap claim against the network.

Francis has not been on air at Fox News for more than two weeks — October 7 being her last appearance — and the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday that she “is probably at the end of her six-year run at the network, according to people familiar with the matter.”

The Los Angeles Times further reported that Francis “had filed a gender-based pay discrimination claim against the company that has been in arbitration,” citing “one person familiar with the proceedings,” with Francis allegedly complaining she was “underpaid compared with her male colleagues.”

Despite the Los Angeles Times reporting that an unnamed person “close to Francis” said the Fox News co-host had been fired, Fox News denied the claim.

Can’t she find decent employment elsewhere? Why did she leave CNBC?

Anybody who goes to work for Fox News is unstable
