Premieres Sunday, October 4 on AMC.
It actually looks better than the original series, as well as Fear the Walking Dead.
And Nico Tortorella!

Milk it for all that it is worth.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | October 1, 2020 5:27 AM |
Nico Tortorella looked like he was tweaking big time Sunday night.
He was on the Walking Dead special with Chris Hardwick, and his facial tics were out of control.
AMC had the video on its site, but then took it down. Probably because of Nico.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | October 1, 2020 5:28 AM |
Sorry, can't stand that insufferable Nico. He just makes it unwatchable
by Anonymous | reply 3 | October 1, 2020 5:29 AM |
There are some cuties in this cast.
Nico Tortorella, Al Calderon, and a cute little Timmy Chalamet lookalike named Nicolas Cantu.
And of course, Julia Ormond!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | October 1, 2020 5:30 AM |
Another Walking Dead series....WTF? Why?!?!?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | October 1, 2020 5:51 AM |
There's a lot more where they came from, R5!
Rick is getting his own series, and so are Daryl and Carol.
You get a show! And you get a show! And you get a show!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | October 1, 2020 5:59 AM |
that thing nico is fucking insufferable
by Anonymous | reply 8 | October 1, 2020 6:21 AM |
Is Nico Tortorella gay in real life?
He seems gay, but his bio says married to a woman.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 3, 2020 6:04 PM |
Isn't he 'fluid?' Which is code for 'bi', which is code for 'comfortably gay in my 40's'?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 3, 2020 6:08 PM |
I'm just excited that we're FINALLY going to get some new programming.
It's been all reruns since March.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | October 3, 2020 6:14 PM |
The zombie apocalypse theme is kinda worn out. How can there still be armies of corpses 10 years later? Wouldn't decomposition have taken all of their muscle mass?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | October 3, 2020 6:25 PM |
Lol R13.
People have been asking that question about the original Walking Dead series, for years.
Yet there are still hordes of zombies in the original series, some 15 or more years into the future.
It's kind of ridiculous.
But you have to suspend disbelief, in order to enjoy the show.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 3, 2020 6:27 PM |
Nina from The Americans is the star. I'll give it a watch. It's supposedly only a two season show.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 3, 2020 7:10 PM |
My muscle mass has decomposed in just 6 months away from the gym.

Can't wait to see Nico!
He's hot.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | October 5, 2020 1:52 AM |
R10 Nico claims to be genderfluid and bisexual and his "wife" claims to be a lesbian.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | October 5, 2020 2:07 AM |
Nico is also both an attention whore and an actual whore
by Anonymous | reply 19 | October 5, 2020 2:18 AM |
I don't think I've seen Nico act in anything before.
He's actually a pretty good actor. And very easy on the eyes.
Once again, Walking Dead neuters the gay character by putting his boyfriend in an entirely different city.
WTF?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | October 5, 2020 6:12 AM |
So you've never seen him act before but can tell from a 3 minute trailer that he's a good actor?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | October 5, 2020 6:31 AM |
I watched the first episode on Sunday night, R21.
He was really good.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | October 5, 2020 6:35 AM |
Has anyone explained why/how the black girl and the white girl are sisters? With two black parents?
What a bizarre thing to do.
Are we supposed to pretend that the white girl has two black biological parents and a black sister?
I really don't get it.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | October 8, 2020 7:58 AM |
The white girl was adopted perhaps.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | October 8, 2020 8:01 AM |
Are they going to cover up all Nico’s ink? If not, how are they going to explain it?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | October 8, 2020 8:08 AM |
"Are we supposed to pretend that the white girl has two black biological parents and a black sister?"
Are we supposed to pretend you're not racist?
The answer to that question is clearly in the first episode, but clearly you were literally struck stupid by the sight of a light skinned girl and dark skinned girl being sisters.
I hope you haven't reproduced. You don't seem like you'd have any good contributions to the gene pool.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | October 8, 2020 8:30 AM |
I watched the first episode of this on Prime the other day and it's shockingly bad. Poorly acted, poorly written, bad premise and it's lame. On the other hand, Tortorella was good in it.
The ratings are horrible. 35% all critics and 25% top critics and going down on Rotten.
Amazon should cancel it now. Today.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | October 8, 2020 8:36 AM |
I watched it, and I wasn't impressed.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | October 8, 2020 9:02 AM |
Amazon destroyed it R28 that's why.
They did the same to the American version of Utopia. Destroyed it.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | October 8, 2020 11:56 AM |
Amazon?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | October 8, 2020 12:45 PM |
R26, the actress isn't a light skinned black girl. She's actually a white girl.
So if she's playing a "light skinned" black girl, then that's even more racist.
Because even cartoon voice white actors who play minority characters, are being cancelled.
Btw, the actress is Alexa Mansour, and at the very most, she's racially ambiguous.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | October 8, 2020 5:02 PM |
I also don't buy that Aliyah Royale and Alexa Monsour (photo above) are sisters.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | October 8, 2020 5:04 PM |
It's made by Amazon R30.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | October 9, 2020 12:19 AM |
No, it isn’t.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | October 9, 2020 3:48 PM |
It's a shame that Nico is so insufferable because he's a decent actor.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | October 9, 2020 3:51 PM |
Well, he’s pretty.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | October 9, 2020 4:04 PM |
I'll give it a chance because of the hot gay character but the pilot sucked. It felt like a student film product filled with theater majors.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | October 9, 2020 4:18 PM |
The only review I read in advance was a rave. Boy was I confused.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | October 9, 2020 4:41 PM |
The two sisters are completely uninteresting and uncharismatic. Very poorly cast.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | October 10, 2020 12:46 AM |
Who knew Omaha Nebraska was so multiracial?
by Anonymous | reply 40 | October 10, 2020 12:48 AM |
Sorry got confused and thought it was an Amazon original. But it was made by AMC.
Apparently, there are going to be 2 x 10 episode seasons before it concludes. If it's not cancelled that is.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | October 10, 2020 1:40 AM |
I LOVED The Walking Dead for about 7 years, but then it started to grate on my nerves.
Instead of just ending the original show, there are endless prequels, and supposedly movies coming down the pike.
The ratings for this new show are about 1.5 million viewers. I'm sure AMC will keep it on the air for 10 years, with 4 spin-offs.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 10, 2020 1:50 AM |
Hopefully, episode two will be better.
Now that their community was destroyed, the refugees are on the road for the rest of the series.
Which means more forests and ugly scenery, just like in the original series.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | October 11, 2020 6:36 PM |
Episode two is already out on the torrents and the show remains the same.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | October 11, 2020 6:45 PM |
Why did they even bother with another Walking Dead series when it will just be the characters walking around in the woods?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | October 11, 2020 6:57 PM |
Because it’s all about the characters and these characters will sparkle.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | October 11, 2020 7:06 PM |
[quote] Why did they even bother with another Walking Dead series when it will just be the characters walking around in the woods?
Because AMC is cheap as fuck.
They want to suck in the loyal Walking Dead fanbase by shitting out a new show, but without spending the money to make it a quality show.
AMC fucking sucks. Now you know why it's getting sued, left and right.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | October 11, 2020 11:17 PM |
I wonder what would have happened if Walking Dead was on another network and if they'd spent some money on it. I gave up on the main series because it was just walking around the woods over and over and over. Negan was the last straw. When he wasn't killed off after the end of his first season I couldn't bear it anymore. It just turned into torture porn.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | October 11, 2020 11:20 PM |
Negan was a popular character in the comic, and the guy who wrote the comic wanted to see his comic come to life verbatim on the screen. Then he created hundreds of characters in the comic, many of whom were extreme or childish caricatures of a person. They didn’t work on the small screen, but he wouldn’t let them go.
He decided if comic book readers liked a bad guy, TV viewers would love him. But Negan killed Glenn, and Glenn wasn’t a comic book character, he was a well fleshed out husband, father and friend. Nobody’s going to love the guy that did that.
The last few days I’ve been reading comments from people who saw the recent Walking Dead episode. Many of them said when Negan came, they quit watching. Some want to watch the spinoffs because there’s no Negan. Anyone with a brain should have realized, if people hate a character so much they quit watching, kill him off. But not this egomaniac, who thought, if I just keep ramming him down people’s throats, they’ll love him. No.
Watch the Umbrella Academy. Also a comic, but the characters have changed in many ways from the comics, from casting different ethnicities from the comic, to changes to the story. That writer understood TV is not a comic.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | October 12, 2020 12:02 AM |
Is Negan still on the show?
by Anonymous | reply 50 | October 12, 2020 12:24 AM |
R50, yes! I quit watching when Glenn was killed. I thought I’d watch the recent episode to see if it was better because some people said online that there were a couple of bad years and it got better. Now they’re trying to make Negan lovable, and Maggie just came back at the end of the episode. I hope she shoots him in the face.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | October 12, 2020 12:27 AM |
The last episode had Negan and Maggie hanging out with the others like everything was cool. Give me a fucking break! You think Maggie is going to chat with the guy who murdered her husband? She would have cut his balls off on first sight.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | October 12, 2020 12:28 AM |
What have you been up to, since you killed my husband? Anything new?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | October 12, 2020 12:30 AM |
I was done with the show after Negan. I haven't watched since, and I loved it in the beginning. It started as 'what would 21st century people from a first world country do if the world ended?' which was a pretty interesting topic but then it just turned into torture porn and gratuitous violence.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | October 12, 2020 12:30 AM |
I love that Nico's character is gay on this show, but why won't they put his boyfriend together with him??
Fuck you, Gale Ann TURD!
by Anonymous | reply 55 | October 12, 2020 12:41 AM |
R54, that happened because the comic writer was writing the comic as more and more violent, he had to top himself every issue, and he just had to make the TV show word for word the same.
I read some ridiculous descriptions of scenes in the comic, like “there was a battle and Rick and Daryl and Denise and Maggie and Carl and X and Y and Z fought Mary Sue and Sally Jane and A, B, C, D, and ...” it sounded like you were supposed to remember a hundred people. Even some comic fans thought it was too much. But paying living actors to play dozens of roles just confuses the audience and they can’t care about that many people, or tell them apart.
There’s a reason Lost in Space is about one family, not NYC in space. People have to be able to relate to individuals for dramatic reasons. The Walkers are the herd, and you don’t care about them.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | October 12, 2020 12:42 AM |

It's fucking insane.

What’s insane is that long white hair makes her look a hundred years old. In real life, her hair is still pretty short and she looks so much better.
This is what her real hair is like now.

Just watched episode 2 of TWD - World Beyond and this show is the absolute pits!
How did it even get approved for release by AMC?
The main character actors are the pits. None of them have any charisma, they are all bland and don't gel. It's going to be badly acted endless entitled teen angst by teens who can't cope with anything. Awful.

I pretty much watch for him.

The Carol actress looks younger IRL. I'll definitely watch the Carol/Daryl show, hopefully it will be better than the dreck that WD turned into.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | October 12, 2020 1:34 AM |
Yes he is R63. Showed how he was thrown out of home after his father works out he's gay from using his computer etc.
Ironically - Tortorella is one of the only good things about the series.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | October 12, 2020 1:40 AM |

Unless it's literal rape, no. Carol is an out and proud lesbian.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | October 12, 2020 2:26 AM |
Horseshit R66. Carol addressed this R66 on a TWD episode.
She specifically said she WASN'T a lesbian. We all saw it.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | October 12, 2020 2:33 AM |
R66 is the "Carol is a lesbian" troll who trolls all of TWD threads.
It's like a weird obsession for that creature.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | October 12, 2020 2:45 AM |
Carol was heading back to Georgia after attending Michfest when the darkness started.. That should be proof enough.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | October 12, 2020 2:52 AM |
I thought Carol was married to a man on the show for a while.
Anyway, I read an article somewhere that was hinting they might decide to make them a couple down the road. In a way, I wish they wouldn’t. They make good friends and it’s nice to see a man and woman that are friends on TV. Everybody doesn’t have to fuck everybody else. Daryl’s backstory is that he’s traumatized by childhood abuse by his father and Merle and some people have guessed that maybe his crazy dad molested him. In an early episode, he was reading a book about overcoming child abuse. So he’s got his issues.
It’s nice to see a character that people just accept as he is, warts and all. He’s grown a lot because people accepted him as he was.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | October 12, 2020 3:50 AM |

Thank you!!!!
It's these stupid frau producers who insist on ALWAYS pairing up males and females on every single fucking television show.
Daryl and Carol have the perfect understanding and perfect friendship. They CANNOT be a couple.
But the fraus just don't get it. Everything has to be a love story to them.

Carol was married to an abusive asshole named Ed.

by Anonymous | reply 74 | October 12, 2020 4:00 AM |
She was with King Ezekial but they broke up after Henry was killed.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | October 12, 2020 4:01 AM |
R73, Carol never remarried.
A couple of guys were interested, but she never went for it until she met Ezekiel.
They became a couple and adopted Henry from The Kingdom, but when Alpha killed Henry, Carol needed to go off on her own again.

by Anonymous | reply 77 | October 12, 2020 4:02 AM |
Carol had hallucinations that Alpha was taunting her, saying she was too afraid to admit what she really wanted. I though it was hinting that Carol really wants a sexual relationship with Daryl.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | October 12, 2020 4:06 AM |
Exactly r71! I hate it when a romance happens on a show or in a movie where it's not appropriate, and then that romance becomes central to the story. We want a post-apocalyptic zombie hellscape, not some shit love story.
And you're right, it's always fraus who push this garbage.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | October 12, 2020 4:35 AM |
How long do we have to keep pretending that the white girl and the black girl are biological sisters with two black parents?
It's. So. Ridiculous.
Like we're supposed to just pretend that the white girl has two black parents.
But it is a zombie show.
So if we can believe that the dead can walk again, I guess it's not that much of a stretch that a white girl can have two black parents.

Yes, R88. Evil Julia Ormond had them all wiped out.
Still not sure why, though.
[quote] So the Nico character became the lover of he guy with the two daughters who are racially different right?
Highly doubtful, R90.
Their dad is straight.
Nico's boyfriend (it was mentioned in episode one) was providing security for their dad, as he made his way to wherever it is that he went.

No explanation, R100. I don't think there will ever be one.

I don’t know if it was mentioned, but I think it was the week before last that they finally included that the girls were adopted and aren’t biological to the parents or each other clearing up that questionable casting issue. Now if they could explain how the fat one got to fat despite ten years of food shortages. She did have a prominent and powerful place in the community, so maybe it will be revealed that she illegally secreted from supplies fo her own welfare? They could do a storyline where she’s stealing food from the others maybe to reveal it.

Rofl R117.
Thanks for clearing that up.
I haven't watched the show in a few weeks, so I'm way behind on the story.

So the grifter kid played one of the gay students on the weird high school musical drama club show awhile back. Hopefully he’ll be a potential love interest for the Nico character in coming episodes. I wonder if Nico will be shown shirtless in any sex scenes? If they do will they cover the tattoos? He was a high schooler before it happened so it would be strange for him to have such extensive and professional work done post apocalyptic?

So, no one is watching this, not even hate watching? There was a good twist at the end of this week’s episode that gives hope that it’s on its way down a better path.
by Anonymous | reply 120 | November 16, 2020 1:51 PM |
I am watching it but not sure why. I blame it on Covid 19 being I do nothing but stay in and watch shit like this.
by Anonymous | reply 121 | November 16, 2020 2:44 PM |
I watched it, R120!
Suffice it to say that R119 won't get his wish.
But it was definitely a good episode, and that was quite a twist.
This show is really growing on me. The kids aren't nearly as annoying as they used to be, with the exception of the angsty girl. She still annoys me.

Percy (actor Ted Sutherland) is a cute twink.
Who's his boyfriend?
by Anonymous | reply 123 | November 16, 2020 6:16 PM |
Sunday's episode was really good.
Silas is such a freak! Then again, so was his father.
What in the hell was up with that relationship?
And the surprise ending wasn't really a surprise to me. I knew who was going to walk through that door.
by Anonymous | reply 124 | November 24, 2020 6:07 AM |
r121 same here. I've run out of things to watch during Covid and spending way more time at home than I normally do, so I'm watching this because there aren't too many more options.
by Anonymous | reply 125 | November 24, 2020 6:18 AM |
[quote] Now if they could explain how the fat one got to fat despite ten years of food shortages.
And the wig, too.
by Anonymous | reply 126 | November 24, 2020 6:19 AM |
These young kids are doing a great job on the show.
Considering that they're basically carrying this series, with the adults as supporting characters, I have to say that they are doing better than the adult casts of both Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead.
They are a bit angsty, but I guess you would expect that with "teenagers."
And the chubby sister looked really beautiful on Talking Dead with Chris Hardwick.

Season finale is next week!
by Anonymous | reply 128 | November 24, 2020 2:04 PM |
Yawn
by Anonymous | reply 129 | November 24, 2020 2:10 PM |
This is practically a recap of the finale and the last two episodes airing Sunday, so don’t read it if you’re afraid of spoilers. But one thing to know is Felix is reunited with his boyfriend, so at the very least there should be a gay kiss, but let’s hope for some haven’t seen you in long awhile gay sex!

One thing about all three of the Walking Dead series that makes me laugh is how diversity-by-committee every group of survivors are. Every group is just the right mix of multicultural, no matter where they are. Even in Bumfucke Oklahoma out on the plains its like 25% white, 25% black, 25% Latinx and 25% mixed-race/racially ambiguous.

Haha R131 so true.
This show is set in Kansas or Nebraska, which are both even LESS racially diverse than Bumfucke, Oklahoma.
Yet you wouldn't know that, based on the characters.

Have they explained how the very English Julia Ormond could have a Chola daughter?

Mansour is a typical semitic name. I know some arabs and jews with this surname.

Are you serious? Many Latinos in the US have one parent that is English/white European. Latinos are mixed of natives and whites, so do the math, idiot.
by Anonymous | reply 135 | November 28, 2020 11:50 PM |
But she's really "street Chola" r135, incongruous with Ormond.
by Anonymous | reply 136 | November 29, 2020 12:09 AM |
R133 What are you talking about, the actress is not Latino, she has a very complex ethnic, cultural and geographical past, but that is not one of them.
by Anonymous | reply 137 | November 29, 2020 3:58 AM |
She talks total Chola.

I was thinking this exact thing, watching last week's episode.
You have "posh" Julia Ormond, and her ghetto ass daughter. No fucking way. That's too unbelievable, even for a zombie apocalypse!!
This show is so ridiculous.
by Anonymous | reply 139 | November 29, 2020 9:27 PM |
Tonight's the finale.

Did everyone die?
by Anonymous | reply 141 | November 30, 2020 1:38 AM |
R141 It’s a two season arc and there’s another hour tonight, so I’ll say no. But I wouldn’t be disappointed by a Moldavian wedding attack by terrorists type ending.
by Anonymous | reply 142 | November 30, 2020 1:58 AM |
Wow, the two episode finale was really good!
The season started off slow, but ended with a bang.
by Anonymous | reply 143 | November 30, 2020 6:03 AM |
Huck is so dykey.
You can tell she just wants to hook up with Hope.
by Anonymous | reply 144 | November 30, 2020 6:11 AM |
Spoiler alert: Nico's boyfriend Will is BLACK! lol
But they still didn't kiss on the lips.
Walking Dead is so fucking homophobic!

Everybody's in an interracial relationship.
by Anonymous | reply 146 | November 30, 2020 6:37 AM |
I love that the two twinks, Percy and Elton are together.
Maybe they'll be forced to cuddle at night, to keep warm!
by Anonymous | reply 147 | November 30, 2020 6:39 AM |
Percy (Ted Sutherland) looks good in a tank top and boots.

Here's the top IMDB review for this clunker:
User Reviews
Is this the worst acting ever?
23 October 2020 | by ramsay_tindal – See all my reviews
I have seldom seen such poor acting and I have seen the Oakbank Primary School pantomime. It may be compensated by and engaging plot, but that is not the case.
by Anonymous | reply 150 | November 30, 2020 7:52 AM |
More IMDB reviews. Almost all 1 star out of 10.
Consensus is that The Walking Dead: World Beyond was awful.
by Anonymous | reply 151 | November 30, 2020 7:57 AM |
I don't care about stupid reviews.
I watch shows that I like, and don't watch shows that I don't like.
And I'm liking this show right now.
Tough titties, R150/R151.
by Anonymous | reply 152 | November 30, 2020 3:36 PM |
Definitely got better. Are we assuming Felix’s boyfriend was with the military group to slaughter the campus population, but instead extracted a small group and has been on the run heading back to Ithaca and looking for Felix? The coat he was wearing looked beautiful, but fascist governments always had good uniform design.
by Anonymous | reply 153 | November 30, 2020 5:24 PM |
I want Percy and Elton to fuck.
That is all.
by Anonymous | reply 154 | November 30, 2020 5:38 PM |
There were strong “after the apocalypse everyone turns gay vibes” like sexual tension between Percy and Elton and between Hope and Huck. I guess Iris just gets to sit in the corner watching and masturbating.
by Anonymous | reply 155 | November 30, 2020 5:54 PM |

Silas the freak will fuck her fat ass!

Huck is such a dykey dyke... I just can't. She makes me uncomfortable.
Couples:
Huck/Hope
Percy/Elton
Iris/Silas
Felix & his right hand.
by Anonymous | reply 157 | November 30, 2020 9:12 PM |
R157 I think his right hand is named WIll.
by Anonymous | reply 158 | November 30, 2020 10:15 PM |
I was kind of hoping that Felix would have a better looking boyfriend than Will.
Walking Dead always pairs the wrong people together.
Rick & Michonne. Carol and Ezekiel. Gabriel and Rosita. Aaron and Eric. Wrong wrong wrong.
by Anonymous | reply 159 | November 30, 2020 10:54 PM |
I think Nico would have firmly established in them’s contract the the boyfriend character not be better or equal looking to himself. That’s just how them rolls.
by Anonymous | reply 161 | November 30, 2020 11:02 PM |
Why does Rosita get to be a slut whore bag, but the gay characters don't?
So far, she has been dicked down by Abraham, Gabriel, Saeed, cockteased Eugene, and probably sucked off countless others. She's the whore of all whores.
Why doesn't Aaron get to do that?
If anything, Felix seems like he would sleep around with everyone. We need to see this.
