More Millennials buying homes despite short supply

Really?

We just bought a condo because renting doesn’t make sense anymore, I pay $200 less a month owning. It’s going to get scary the next couple of years because though there may be a housing crash, rent is not going to go down because taxes and utilities will stay the same. The telltale sign is commercial retail, landlords would rather leave spaces empty than bring pricing down because of costs and perceived value.

I think poorer families are going to have a tough time of things, you’ll see parents having to move in with kids and families doubling up and boarding houses coming back into vogue because housing costs will continue to escalate.

The only thing America manufactures is real estate. There are forces that will perpetuate the perception of wealth at any cost keeping home ownership unattainable and wildly expensive for decades.
