They should all be punished but the severest sentences should be saved for those with the most irritating and hysterical performances in Congress. Gym, Nuñez, and Doug Collins and all those other loudmouth hillbillies with boners for Burisma whose names I can’t recall at the moment.

They should all be rounded up and put on a bus tour throughout the U.S. of A.... every night a stop in a major city. Like the ones where Trump held his rallies. Trump, of course, would be included on this tour. He would be the star of the show!

So each offender, enabler, etc. (like Lindsay Graham, Bill Barr, Kellyanne Conway), would be placed in a large dug hole in the ground of a giant stadium. People would have to pay $100 a ticket. And for that price, they get to pick the enabler of their choice and pee on them. For $500, they can take a shit.

For Trump, of course, the rates would raise to $1000 for a piss, $10,000 for a shit.

Can you imagine the amount of money that could be raised? The proceeds could go to American Heath Care, Puerto Rican hurricane victims, a special Covid fund, infratructure, you name it.

For once, money raised by the Trump Administration would be put to good causes!

Er... this is still America. We're better than that. The things described above are *precisely* the kind of things Trump (or Mussolini) would do to his "enemies" if he could, which is why we have to man up and *not* go there.

Trump will be the near-term, if not the permanent, end of the Republican Party as we grew up knowing it. The RP is either going to purge itself of the Trumpian element (rendering itself politically irrelevant for a generation or so, but saving its own soul and someday becoming respectable again), or it's going to go full-on Deplorable™ & lose any aura of aspirational-upscale respectability it ever had.

Before anyone breaks into "Ding, Dong, The Witch is Dead", keep in mind that if the sane, respectable former Republicans grudgingly become "Democrats", it only means they'll quickly drag the DP itself to the right. Especially once the DP's leadership gets a taste of life as a sustainably-majority party.

If the RP implodes & the non-Deplorables join/take-over the DP, I give it 2-5 years, max, until the Progressive end of the DP walks out & forms a new Green Party. Or both will try leveraging the "Democratic Party" brand name, and we'll have "Democratic Republicans" (on the right), and "Green Democrats" (on the left).

The fact is, a country like the US *inevitably* gravitates towards two stable parties, names be damned. The DeplorableRepublican party won't necessarily go away, but it'll become as relevant as the Whigs. Former non-Deplorable Republicans might become Democratic Republicans (or Lincoln Democrats, or whatever), but they aren't going to magically decide to embrace Progressivism, and it's *delusional* to believe otherwise.

That said, the Reagan Revolution will probably be over as a viable ideology. Tomorrow's "Liberty Democrats" will basically be 1960s New York Establishment Republicans.
