Franken nails her as a liar and someone who accepted money from a hate group disguised as a religious group.
Franken was brilliant as he cornered Barrett in her lies for speaking before and accepting money from an extreme religious group identified as a hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center. She never bothered to check out who the group was but found out prior to her speech.

Sturmabteilung (SA) was doing such wonderful work in our community. I had many colleague who spoke highly of them and I had worked with some of their young members who I thought highly of. Yes, I did eventually here of a controversial classification of Sturmabteilung as a hate group, but it certainly was not my experience when I was with them. They arelovely people. I would NEVER give a talk to Pol Pot's people.

Al Franken's grilling is rather useless because Barret doesn't consider hating homos to be abhorrent. She is perfectly fine with exporting hatred, sterilization and assassination of homos around the world. That is he question Franken needed to put to her, point blank. Judge Barret, do you believe that LGBT Americans deserve full and equal rights in the USA?

Then, when she stammers a non answer, his second question can be "You seem to be saying you think equal right is afforded by law, but you personally were happy to take donations and speak to hate group that wants to destroy LGBT people. Is that a fair assessment, Judge Barrett?

He is sorely missed in the Senate.

Franken was the best. Made a lot of the Senate stuff understandable and comprehensible to ordinary Americans. Awful ass-grabbing, though, but I must say I miss him in the Senate.

No r7 but thanks for playing.

Franken should have asked: Now that you know that the group has a history of hate, will you return the money it gave you?

Or how about "How do you look at your hateful unchristian self in the mirror, you craven bitch?"

If she's so religious, then how can she accept an appointment from someone who has gotten a divorce and who is an adulterer?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 26, 2020 11:26 PM |
Apparently she was passed-over the first time due to a 'lack of chemistry' with Trump (no promise of "loyalty"?)
She was appointed to: 1) erase "Obamacare"; and 2) bestow 'religious freedom' on Christian Supremacists so they can totally ignore same-sex marriage; and 3) make abortion illegal. This is what their constituency has been howling about for years.

Al Franken is sorely missed and I wish he’d been around during the Kavanagh hearings.
That he was railroaded out of the Senate is something I will never forgive the Democrats for.

I blame Gillabrand, R14. That bitch.

She's not a bitch. Fight the real enemy - homophobic Republicans

Whatever became of Al Franken? He was a great and determined politician. He REALLY needs to get back into politics again. He is sorely needed.

I think Franken should and could come back but im guessing he's retired

Most Americans who go to church do not want to live in a Theocracy under this crazy Coney Barrett. Even if you are a religious person, this person is ANTI DEMOCRACY. She is in a cult and wants to expand it. We call this, Theocracy. Where are the Republicans who do not want to live under shia rule, a theocracy? STOP HER.

Gosh R12, you're optimistic. I immediately assumed from the "chemistry" comment that she'd declined to have sex with him.

I miss Al, too. He was terrific.

Didn't you guys read R8? He said we're all wrong. So I guess we are. Glad he's here to set us straight.

The way Franken was driven out is why I sometimes hate Democrats despite voting dem. When the Republicans started their smear campaign (abetted by the mainstream media because OF COURSE) the correct response would have been to tell both the repugs and the New York times (who advised him to step down) to fuck off and clean their own filthy houses. The right is full of unrepentant harassers and the amount of Me Too accusations against male press members makes Hollywood look like a den of boy scouts. Instead they pushed out Al in the most cowardly way, all for something that was clearly a bawdy joke.

Yes, I’ll never forgive the democrats who pushed Al Frankenstein out.

Thanks PC cunts and bitches for getting rid of Franken.
Now, karma is rearing her ugly head, and one of your own who is very unPC is going to set womens' civil and productive rights back two centuries.
Bwahahahaha.
