Farrah didn't want to be a mother figure to Tatum and Griffin. They had their own house.

Tatum has had numerous health issues over the last couple of years, which she has documented and shared about on social media. Ryan, on the other hand...well, he's gotten the face and body he deserved after so many years of hard partying, bullying, and sociopathic behaviour. George Hamilton is two years older than Ryan and looks 20 years younger. (I just recently finished Anjelica Huston's second memoir where she wrote plenty about Ryan being the shit out of her at a party in public, so I have no sympathy for the bastard.)

Didn't Ryan inherit part of Farrah's fortune? He's probably the administrator of Redmond's money as well, at least until the "kid" is released from prison. By all accounts, Ryan has managed his money very well over the years and he hasn't been a high roller for a long time.

Ryan and Tatum O'Neal both look decrepit, which is understandable, considering the lives they've led: booze, drugs, cigarettes, the whole bit. Tatum is only 56, but looks at least in her seventies. Well, who cares if they "reunite" or not. Both have been over for a long time.

Yeah, I am quite surprised by Tatum's appearance. I know a lot of people have struggled during the pandemic, gained weight, etc but she looks quite ill. She is still pretty but she looks haggard.

Her daughter is really pretty. It's nice to see that, despite all of Tatum's issues, she is still very close to her kids although like r12 said, McEnroe and Patty Smyth primarily raised them.
