I had TCM on this afternoon and saw a Fifties jungle flick,Bomba the Jungle Boy, or something like that. I learned that Bomba was Johnny Sheffield, who played Boy in many of the Tarzan movies with Johnny Weismuller. Well, let me tell you, when Boy turned into Bomba, he filled out extremely well. Of course, he couldn't act for shit, but with the miniscule outfit he had to wear, who noticed? Anyone else remember this muscular little stud from B-movie heaven?

I guess searching is still broken? I posted on Bomba last week. Some people have heard of him. He was hot. The movies were pretty awful. He grew up and married some lady and became a salesman. Boyd Mcdonald's article on him in "Cruising the Movies" is worth tracking down.
