Health or Yoga-Type Retreats

What are they really like, aside from the advertising? Seeking answers similar to the thread on cruises.

Yes I know I'm not looking for now but later on.

I went to one in Tulum, Mexico. It was great - youga 3x a day and two meditations as well (you could opt for guided or solo). It was a very peaceful experience. The food was great - mostly vegan/vegetarian and there was no alcohol. It was the first time I had gone on vacation where I came home feeling relaxed and refreshed.

I did a gay mens nude yoga retreat in Canada. It was pretty cool. We learned about self pleasure, massage, yoga, lots of great meals and conversations. The only issue can be a few queens that don't get along. I would definitely do something like that again. I think men's retreats you are getting people looking for some introspection which is different than going to party like a gay cruise.

It can be difficult finding gay men's tour groups, travel destinations, or guest houses when one is sober.

This sounds appealing.

I found my retreat a few years back through book yoga retreats. If I'm single, I enjoy traveling alone during the holidays, but I was getting tired of just bumming around bars to meet other people in different countries. These retreats provide for more of a connection, a chance to travel, and it was all singles with the exemption on 1 couple.
