When was Madonna at her peak of physical beauty?

When would you say Madonna was at her most beautiful? I say around the time of “The Power of Goodbye”. She looked absolutely gorgeous in that video. The fair skin with the dark hair only made her eyes stand out even more. She looked striking!

She never looked this good prior or after! An absolute beauty here! I also love this song!!!

When she fell backwards off the stage

That's like asking when was Roger Federer's vibrato the most controlled.

by Anonymousreply 2Last Wednesday at 2:06 PM

Probably at the very moment she decided she had to start ripping her face up.

by Anonymousreply 3Last Wednesday at 2:08 PM

Definitely circa [italic]Erotica.

It was her best period creatively as well.

Of her what, now?

by Anonymousreply 5Last Wednesday at 2:11 PM

Late 30s. Physically in top shape, lost all the baby fat in her face and you could see her great bone structure.

Definitely before she started screwing around with plastic surgery and fillers

Madonna was never "gorgeous" and I think it's insulting to her to suggest that her career was based on being beautiful rather than talent and hard work.

I'm 57 and I'm sick of her and wish she'd go away but I do have respect for her, and I can promise you that people weren't talking about her back in the 80s because she was "beautiful." (In fact we laughed at her when she tried to pretend she looked like Marilyn Monroe in the Material Girl video.)

by Anonymousreply 8Last Wednesday at 2:11 PM

Are you serious? No matter if you like her or not, Madonna used to be stunning.

by Anonymousreply 9Last Wednesday at 2:13 PM

R8 she was a pop girl. Guys wanted to bone her. Stop lying.

by Anonymousreply 10Last Wednesday at 2:13 PM

She looked pretty good in [italic] Evita. [/italic]

by Anonymousreply 11Last Wednesday at 2:15 PM

Yeah, sure R8.

That black hair looked terrible on her. She should have kept her ray of light video hairstyle longer than she did.

R10 The big sex symbols of the 80's (not counting models and porn stars) were Brigitte Nielsen, Kelly LeBrock, Phoebe Cates, Samantha Fox. Gloria Estefan, Tawny Kitean and Molly Ringwald.

Madonna was never beautiful. The guys I knew weren’t even that crazy about her music. She always had an attitude with her fans which straight guys don’t like. Plus she was very short with over exaggerated features. Attractive yes beautiful never....

by Anonymousreply 14Last Wednesday at 2:18 PM

The moment the her mother's fertilized egg implanted.

by Anonymousreply 15Last Wednesday at 2:18 PM

Most Straight guys were never into her music. Her music is for women and gays. They just wanted to bone her, like all those pop girls.

by Anonymousreply 16Last Wednesday at 2:22 PM

Brigitte Nielsen, Gloria Estefan, and Molly Ringwald as sex symbols?

LOL, no.

These threads always attract a group of bullshitters who insist Madonna was never a sex symbol. Meanwhile, her videos were one of the few by female artists on MTV that straight teen boys would stop and watch.

by Anonymousreply 17Last Wednesday at 2:23 PM

"She always had an attitude with her fans which straight guys don’t like."

Talk about not having a clue what straight guys care about.

"Sure she has nice tits, but I can't jack off to them until I know how she treat her fans....

[quote]When was Madonna at her peak of physical beauty?

Any day now. Any day now.

by Anonymousreply 19Last Wednesday at 2:28 PM

I always thought she was beautiful just after she gave birth to Lourdes, and did that interview with Oprah Winfrey.

I think the Erotica period could've been a stunning time for her except she kept doing weird things (like the Heidi outfit, the gold tooth, etc).

The only time in my life I've ever heard straight guys explicitly talk about how they wanted to slip her one was when she released the "Don't Tell Me" video.

by Anonymousreply 20Last Wednesday at 2:32 PM

My brother was hot for her during the chubby slutty period, Like a Virgin era. He was a young teen then.

Madonna was never more than okay looking. She was young and athletic and that takes a woman a long, long way. But beautiful? Her teeth aren't even any good.

by Anonymousreply 23Last Wednesday at 2:51 PM

I'm not a big Madonna fan in the least but I listen to the Ray of Light album/cd/whatever fairly often - I think it is really good

by Anonymousreply 24Last Wednesday at 2:51 PM

She was never considered a beauty.

by Anonymousreply 25Last Wednesday at 2:52 PM

She wasn’t considered a beauty. She was considered hot. They don’t go hand in hand always.

by Anonymousreply 26Last Wednesday at 2:54 PM

Cold, void of emotion, vampire appearance and not great vocals either, but she's got lots o chutzpa.
