This will end in tears

New York couple caring for giant Kodiak bears.

Just watching the video terrifies me.

This should've been a poll, OP, with number of years before the bears kill them as the choices plus Vivian Vance and Zoo! as options.

by Anonymousreply 1September 15, 2020 5:42 AM

They think the bears love them, but the bears think they'll be tasty morsels.

by Anonymousreply 2September 15, 2020 5:48 AM

Pathetic losers who feel they need to show everyone how supposedly special they are.

[italic]”Animals LOVE me!”

by Anonymousreply 3September 15, 2020 5:58 AM

They're already dead. I'm sure their deaths will come up on DL in the not too distant future.

by Anonymousreply 4September 15, 2020 6:03 AM

All it takes is for the bear to have one bad day, or the humans to make one wrong move, and it's all over for them.

I would love nothing more for them to have a happy ending, but I just don't think that it will ever work out for humans to care for wild animals like this.

They're just too powerful.

by Anonymousreply 5September 15, 2020 6:04 AM

This us barely bearable. Bears are not domesticated animals.

by Anonymousreply 6September 15, 2020 6:04 AM

Why do people just love to tempt fate?

Didn't they say four of their bears died? They obviously have some sort of connection with these animals. They've been doing this for awhile.

These bears were raised by the couple since they were cubs. The bears didn't grow up in the wild, then the couple attempted to raise them once they were grown.

I still think they're nuts.

Tears, indeed.

by Anonymousreply 10September 15, 2020 6:39 AM

And blood.

Bears, indeed.

It’s a beah. A cute widdle teddy beah.

by Anonymousreply 13September 15, 2020 6:50 AM

Waiting for that Kodiak moment when the bear mauls them both.

They’ll have Grand Maul seizures!

Bears, just finished eating the Kowalcziks: "We're sorry now."

R8, I love that show. Weirdest was the guy who was half eaten by his pet monitors in his apartment.

But those bears look so cuddly.

They behave like dogs.

by Anonymousreply 19September 15, 2020 5:02 PM

I know people who have bad days. Imagine a wild animal having a crappy day.

by Anonymousreply 20September 15, 2020 6:01 PM

Well, they get injured and hungry, and sometimes lonely if they’re pack animals. Then some of their kids get gobbled by predictors.

I don’t think wild animals live distress-free lives.

For the bears, it will end in lunch.

Thought this was going to be a thread about the owners of The Eagle franchise.

"Our Big Bear Family."

I've seen that film!

by Anonymousreply 24September 15, 2020 8:39 PM

Those teeth! Those claws! *faints*

That bear weighs over 1000 pounds.

Just watching that man stick his head and his hands inside the bear's mouth, makes me weak in the knees.

And the bears are constantly licking and smelling the humans. You just know that they want to eat them!

by Anonymousreply 25September 15, 2020 8:39 PM

I wonder what these bears smell like.

by Anonymousreply 26September 16, 2020 9:31 PM

Cute encounter with a young bear...

My late dog, a large German Shepherd/Husky mix, and I used to sometimes roughhouse play, where I would put my arm in his mouth rather aggressively, and he would chomp down on my arm but he never hurt me. He knew his chomping ability and that this was Just play. He is/was a domesticated animal with tens of thousands of years of domestication. i wouldn’t try anything like that with a wild animal, no matter how well trained.

I miss my dog,

Their bears die because they overfeed them to keep them docile. So docile they die of obesity. Someone call the ASPCA.

by Anonymousreply 29September 17, 2020 10:39 PM

Is that couple dead yet?

by Anonymousreply 30September 17, 2020 10:45 PM

I’ll admit that I’d want to pet these giant Kodaks. But they look like they have fleas and scabs on them, and they might accidentally eat you, or snap your spine. I’d hate that.

But they’re awfully cute. “Hey Boo Boo...

barely bearable thread, part 2. It died from lack of interest and lack of cute bear videos.
